Shopping frenzy! or IKEA good, TMnet... BAD!!!
Saturday, July 05, 2008
Stopped by Pet Shack tadik (the best pet shop you can find - especially when it comes to sugar gliders stuff apart from everything else you can't find anywhere else). Da lama tak drop by, but had to finally after putting it off cause my Joey Jr nya blended mix of fruits da abih.
Ended up spending about a hundred on bark bites, new toys for my glider and more. Damn! That glider is getting so pampered, spending more on him than myself.
Pas abih singgah rumah Bangsar nak put everything in, and then fix it up before putting his food out.
Dropped by Low Yat, but saved money from buying an Asus laptop (nak sangat sebab skrin 7 inci, kicik leh letak pouch jer). Had to keep reminding myself not to waste money.
And then finally singgah Ikea kerana nak belikan a new clothes rack. Mine collapsed due to the sheer weight of my clothes.
Ended up at the check out counter with TWO racks (cheap ma!), several storage containers (four I think), a rug, and some other miscellaneous stuff.
Masa carik wallet, panik maut! My wallet was missing! Pikir betul betul, realised must have left it in the car! Matilah kalao ilang kena rompak akibat keta kena pecah! Da la baru withdraw banyak nak shopping. Korek suar, ada few hundred my sis pass nak hantar kat my mum, pakai dulu nak bayar.
Settle jer, rushed out to the car. Seb baik ada... !!!!
Decided to go grab a bite, curse and swear useless TMnet punya customer service bila ada problem nak log in for Streamyx Hotspot. Honestly kan, I think TMnet hires some of the most incompetent people EVER!
Why is it they NEVER get the details right sampai kena repeat berpuluh kali??? And you would think that they wouldn't need to go by the manual they have in front of them and go step by step when you've already identified the problem???
Or worse still, put you on hold for minutes only to pick up and repeat the same bloody things or ask you the same damn questions!
Aku tension customer service meka!!! Slalu tau! Dari sepuluh kali aku call kalao ada problem, sembilan kali an imbecile will pick up the phone!!! Tu pun pas redah that annoying taped message yang buang masa.
Stress!!!
This is so in contrast with the service I get at the Klang branch of TMnet yang semua helpful gila! I have had it with TMnet. Bodoh!!!! Hopeless!!!
Quality of service most of the time HAMPEH!
Argh!!! Looks like I may soon change my Internet service provider.
Eh meroyan lak... ok ok.. nak away dulu ek. Nak spring cleaning and pasang semua benda alah aku beli tadi. Da lama tak kemas bilik... matilah tengah malam pagi buta nak spring cleaning....

Euphoria!
Friday, July 04, 2008
Just found out today when passed the Sunway area that Euphoria brought by London's Ministry of Sound is opening!!! After the years of speculation konon Ministry bukak kat KL, rupanya meka open in Sunway! They officially opened two days ago, but definitely not too late. Looks like I may just end up clubbing this weekend!
About time I returned to some serious clubbing. Tapi kat Sunway Lagoon Resort punya area tak berkenan sangat actually. Still that place holds memories (Arena - 1997, and later Heaven before it became a fengtau joint) post Boom Boom Room)
Oooh... got the chills just thinking about it!

Jalan-jalan...
Thursday, July 03, 2008
Bored to death today. Next meeting on Monday, and many more spread out throughout next week. So sebelum kesibukan teramat melanda, kemalasan melampau lak take over.
Petang tadi ke The Curve. Nak tunggu Bob habis gym sebenarnya. Si Juan dan Bobby ke Ikea then jumpa aku sana. Abang Bad (ni sorang lagik pemilik blog alam barzakh) lak kebetulan in the area sebab Diddy baru abih rakaman, so dia pun join.
Lepak kat Little Penang melantak.

Lighting  semua nampak flawless... hasil lighting yer (matilah aku!)

Sambil borak borak, sempat aku cam whoring sikit. Actually aku potong rambut da berminggu, tapi tak amik pic lagik rambut aku skang camna. Memang burok! Hah! Carut diri sendiri sebelum di carut orang. Tapi sebab da lama tak wat, saja back to my mohawk. Rasa cam Anna & The King lak ala Siam bahagian depan aku tengok.

Cam whoring!

After we finished, Abang Bad dan Diddy gerak after a while, sementara Juan dan Bobby pun made a move, before meeting up with Bob and I kat rumah Ayien lepak.
Ngantuk siot...  enjoy ler puas puas. Minggu depan, haram aku nak lepak camnih da.

Kelab Pop
Wednesday, July 02, 2008
Sampai je Wisma Ali Bawal tuk shooting Kelab Pop, bumped into lots of people! Mana taknya... bukan je satu episod nak shooting. Banyak skali harung. Aku nya slot yang last for the day.
Team aku, apart from myself, si Juan dan Rudy. Harus lah havoc katanya. Our challengers? Ifa Raziah, Serina Redzuan dan Fazli Zainal.
Semua mulot leh tahan.
Once, the final episod before ours finished (sempat usha, tapi akibat tuh tambah nervous), congratulated the winners! Siapa lagi kalau bukan team Triple Z (no, that was not their team name - tapi sebab memang tiga tiga nama start ngan Z).
The winning team for the shoot before ours was bro Zahid, skali ngan Zain formerly of RuffEdge (kira former ker) and Zed Zaidi. Uwaa... julang trofi ngan bangga tuh!
Mana taknya, dengar musim lepas, piala adalah piala pusingan yang passed on.
Musim ni semua pemenang dapat individual trophy.

Triple Z - Zain, Zed Zaidi and Zahid - eksyen ngan trofi tuh!

Uwaa... adik da dapat trophy, the pressure is on to meet expectations. Sebenarnya aku tak kisah pun mula mula nak menang ke apa... lagikpon appear pun ada saguhati da. Merasalah dijemput sebagai selebriti wakil media. Matilah... nak good impression ni.
Plus, adik da menang, aku pun nak ler. And it didn't hurt that the trophy cantik gak and nampak mahal. Heh!
So masa game, memang all out. Tapi round random question memang no hal. Seb baik tak terbodoh aku. Tapi round CD rosak aku tension. Tak pick up langsung. Juan banyak jawab.
Tapi yang kelakar, satu yang berjaya aku jawab tuh, tak sampai beberapa saat aku da tekan buzzer dan jerit jawapan. Lagu tu memang familiar - lagu hit yang kerap berkumandang radio. Kalau tak kenal memang aku patut kena pancung - matilah malu kalao aku tak cam. Sebelum sesiapa sempat, aku tekan dan jerit STACY!!!! AKU STACY!!!! Heh! Tak ler aku malu sangat tak jawab speed round tu.
Round humming dan karaoke maut tuh memang pecah perot. Aku sampai nak jatuh pentas gelak!
Aku takleh cakap apa apa la... korang tengok kang bila episod tu on air. Not sure when... but memang kelakar!

Fazli, Serina, Reza, Juan, Rudy and me, myself and I. Kak Ifa terpaksa rushing balik cepat sebab anak dia sakit.

Pas abih gi lepak Pelita as usual. Tak plan apa apa pun. Dan dan... ada orang tegur. Rupanya Marsha dan Kefli ada 'discussion'. Hah... habihla korang kuar lagik la cita korang kuar berdua. Sebenarnya kira business meeting sebab ada hal nak bincang. Last last meka join satu meja. Banyak ler aku nak borak ngan Kef sebab cita Gaia yang aku tarik diri. Then borak ngan Marsha pasal bab lain yang takleh sebut sini.

Kef and Marsha

Jauh tuh duduk!

Sibuk borak, tetiba lak ramai sampai kat Pelita tu. The ones aku sempat snappy Mila dan secara berasingan, Jac. Bangga ngan meka. Takde nya feeling kekwat takleh lepak mamak. Ada sesetengah nih pandang mamak ni cam hina sangat. And kalao lepak kat kedai mamak, rasa cam kena bagitau satu dunia seperti Fear Factor lak. Amik ko!

Mila lak sampai

Then Jac...

Hung about dari I think about 10pm, sampai almost 4am! Penat gila by the end of it all.
If I neglected to tell you the result of the episode Kelab Pop I was in. Sebenarnya... kami.. MENANG!!!!!
Amik ko! Trofi yang dok kat ruang tamu rumah skang. Nothing much to be proud of... biasa biasa je. Yang penting, we all had fun, and with friends.
Apa dia? Bolos? You'll never get me into that skin tight baju. Nangis kang Fitri tengok baju dia buat tuh kena stretch ngan aku! Nangis lagik tetiba Bolos kena rating sebagai horror film lak nampak lebihan aku semua. Matilah...
Over and out... for today...

Butt baseball again?
Tuesday, July 01, 2008
Deja vu! Ten years later! Malas nak komen lebih sebab korang pun tau pasal apa. Well, again, I've mentioned I'm staying away from the sensationalism of politics, and more to the entertainment world here.
Malas nak ulas demi nak hits. Tapi apapon, I have had enough of all this.
Ten years ago, I made my mark in news by covering the birth of Reformasi, the street demos, the subsequent arrest of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. I was an eager, enthusiastic journalist keen on sourcing out truth and writing what I believed would change the country.
Yeah... right... and then I woke up.
So many things need be done.
And I'll leave it to others who can do so much more. I feel like devoting years to all this with no progress, or little that is unjustified of the time spent, malas da.
I love Malaysia... so much. Can't imagine packing up and leaving. Everytime gi cuti balik pun rasa nak kembali sini jerk. And when I do get back, I hit all my fave stalls and bersyukur sangat. Hujan emas di negeri orang... and all that bull.
Yeap... politics suck. And our country is a long way off from being healed from all the crap we have to go through. And forget that saviour, that hero who will come turn things around. Deal with it jer la... after all... you all made your decision da masa elections.
Sapa setakat cakap lebih tak undi pun tak guna.
I have been browsing lots of blogs to just read up on latest developments, and I had a good laugh. Because I am aware quite of few of them didn't even vote.
Whoopie doo!
Entah la... leave me to my frivolous stuff and let me build my life better for myself and my family. Because no matter who I elect into office, the price of things still go up, income doesn't, corruption still rears its ugly head, and political scum-suckers still exist.
Heh... sounds apathetic kan?
No la... just malas nak ulas lebih about allegations or past pics of supposed butt-batters or the supposed receivers.
I think I'll just pick up a copy of the National Enquirer, thank you.
All the drama here is so like the dramas they have on RTM. Recycled trash... junk that may have been mildly appealing the first time, but just plain boring with repetitiously familiar storyline and characters (with a couple of switches) this time.
That is unless this time they can provide some PHOTOGRAPHIC evidence or video proof. Baru drama mama sikit. Lain dari tu, the he say, she say getting tiring. We all know they lie... so it gets too confusing to figure out the technicalities of who lies less to believe in.
Yawn...
Writing this before popping into Stacy place to see her, and pick up Chaq and the rest of the Bad Boyz (formerly Evoke). Saja nak bye bye sebelom Stacy ke Gold Coast esok.
Mama Stacy sampai pagi besok, so she gets to spend time with her mother, sebelom berlepas dari KLIA at night.
Dunno if sempat jumpa dia besok, but will try. Kalao tak jumpa dia pas balik dari Gold Coast jerk. Signing off for tonight... night, guys!

PS - Esok kalao sempat aku update earlier sikit sebab ada rakaman Kelab Pop. Yes, I am taking part. Takkan Bolos lak.. bukan muat pun.. and no way I'm wearing those hugging suits. Matilah aku....

MUSIC
Music is beautiful, no matter what language it is in. It transcends the boundaries of race, religion, and even that of a geographical nature.
Here's my list of songs from Indonesian pop and rock acts that are on my playlist, some of which are my all time favorites. Some old, some new and some just bloody timeless. Enjoy the sounds and listen beyond the music and the words - and instead tune into the emotions of each tune. No matter what genre they may be.
Say NO! to the hateful and malicious nature of some who choose to close our local music market for fear of competition simply because they are unable to compete, and unwilling to even try.
Support Malaysian music. Don't kill it by being ignorant. Music is ever evolving, and our local sound is slowing being rendered irrelevant. This is my protest against those who choose to be anti-Indonesian music, simply because SOME of our local talents and recording outfits are too lazy to innovate and create. This is the sound of Indonesia today. Are we up for the challenge to evolve and produce better music in healthy competition?

WHAT I'M ON

KLUBBKIDD
So...just what do you want to know about me? I'm simple, and yet complicated. It's as simple as that...but then again, perhaps not. My life is kinda like my job, an oxymoron. Try this one out for size...'ethical journalist'. See, told you so.

Anyway, here's a brief (yeah right!) intro to my life. I'm a proud Malaysian (and I mean literally!), of Chinese descent. I'm Christian (Roman Catholic!). I'm kinda whacked. I believe in piercings, dyed hair, black nails, silver studs. leather and spiked accessories and oh... tattoos...body art is just that...art. Apart from anything else that will make me worth staring at.

Right now, I have a total of seven piercings (three on lobes - two left one right, left ear cartilage, nose, lower lip and tongue) with three taken out on brow (one ripped) as well as three tattoos with more to come.

Forget the tough exterior, cause I believe in hugging my parents, crying when I feel like it, require tender moments with my significant other, and I appreciate my friends. As Kim from America's Next Top Model said it best. "What's my secret? I may look tough on the outside, but really, I scream like a girl!"

Fictional?

I 32 as of last July 17, and it's past the mid life crisis come early for me as I struggled to deal with the coming of age thing. I am working as a freelance senior entertainment journalist, a job which I have been at ever since I decided to quit college, two subjects short of graduating. I was taking my Diploma In Sound and Audio Engineering. Until recently that is. Now I do a lot of freelance overall talent consultancy which includes image and communication. I am also in the process of starting my own company klubbkidd Sdn Bhd, which is producing its first TV show from a format that I have created myself. The show will most likely be on air sometime end 2008. I have donelive sound production for some concerts and shows and a little bit of studio work in hopes of becoming a sound engineer with what I've studies, when I turned back to my first love, writing. Was doing general news, specialized awhile in politics, did a little features, crime, business and sports and dabbled in related journalism fields before finally settling into my current position, thankfully, entertainment, the perks of which is doing what I've always loved (writing and indulging in music) and also backstage passes to meet my favorite acts. It's eleven years now, and I'm still golding it there.

Looking back - whatever's gone on in my life - it's not too hard to be positive and look ahead, with more pleasant of the memories to make the journey a little easier.

And these very memories which I cherish so, are the reasons behind why I started blogging.

The friendships and variety of relationships I've been through, allow me to highlight the mistakes I've made and how not to repeat them, not to compromise my principles too much for love, and also a balance in sacrificing my ego, and how I must learn to be stronger in the face of adversity.

So I've never figured myself to be a real hoot.I pace on day by day, occasionally skipping, sometimes with just a little jaunty bounce. More often than not, I go smack! either on my rear end (which needs more meat) or flat on my face.Life treats me well, I suppose, so I shouldn't gripe.
I am stll my own hero - that's positivity through self-affirmation for you.
