Sebelum apa apa aku nak ucapkan...CONGRATULATIONS YASMIN AHMAD!!!
Walaupun ari ni hanya masuk ari ketiga tayangan Mukhsin, tetapi nampaknya pecah panggung merata dengan ramai berpusu-pusu untuk tengok cita besh ini dan melayan pesta air mata dan gelak ketawa (depending on the scope of your personal emotional range).
Anyway, bukan tuk tu yang aku nak ucap tahniah, tapi dapat perkhabaran semalam, yang Mukhsin dalam hari pertamanya saja telah mencatat kutipan sebanyak RM120,000!!! (so takyah ler pose muka risau semacam kak Min...heh!)
Bayangkan kalau filem Buli Balik mencatat  kutipan ari pertama pun RM110,000...sapa kata hasil kerja 'perosak budaya' ni tak laku? Sapa kata orang luar je akan sanjung 'filem filem yang tak cukup unsur ke-Malaysia-an' (is there such a term?)
Oh please...to everyone who went to watch Mukhsin, you guys are the BEST! Keep supporting quality local film productions dan aku harap, you take home the emotions that all of us took home when we watched the film too.
Anyway sebut kak Min ni,semalam jumpa dia kat this art gallery where the gala night of the BMW Shorties Awards was held.
It was a fun night, and obviously Yasmin was the star attraction among the many young and no so young but still new and promising filmmakers who showed up.
Nak simpulkan what took place last night....the results of the BMW Shorties Awards were delivered, and this was how it went.

Winner - K-Hole (Abdullah Zahir Omar)
Special Mentions : Kiri (Ghazali Bunari), Singgam (Sasitharan Rajoo)
People's Choice Award : Kiri (Ghazali Bunari) with a total of 1,120 votes

Tahniah to Zahir for the win, Memang K-Hole was one of my earlier choices, tapi sayang jer the other one in Westbound didn't come off with anything. You guys rock lah no matter what...hope to see more of your work ok...
Zahir won RM50,000 worth of filmmaking assistance and also the guidance of the experiences panel of judges which of course termasuk Yasmin, Danny Lim,, James Lee, Affandi Jamaludin, Paul Loosley and Gregory Wee.
Filem yang dihasilkan akan dihantar untuk dipertandingkan at international film festivals via the BMW network.
For the special mentions,, tahniah to Sasi, and most especially to Ghazali atau more known in the blogosphere as Tok Rimau (yang dok sebelah kiri) yang menhasilkan the story as well as Dean Sham tukang direct for the mention.
Kali pertama ni aku jumpa Tok RImau...and it's nice to see he's a down to earth person yang easy going (matilah dia tak carut aku pun sebab aku review Kiri ngan kritikan dush dush doom ala ala fight scene filem Hindustan)
Sasi and Tok Rimau secara mengejut (awalnya takde hadiah tuk Special Mention ni, cuma cenderahati), menerima a return ticket to the next Cannes Film Festival and access to two BMW events kat sana tuk beramas mesra with the biggest and best filmmakers. Haiyooo...makan hati ok!!!
Tok RImau dan Dean Sham skang akan tarik rambut menentukan sapa yang patut pegi...merasalah kesukaran memandangkan memasing tak de rambut.
Osman Ali juga menghadiri majlis tuh, and had a nice chat with him about Anak Halal, and I'm glad that Puaka Tebing Biru did well at the box-office walaupun I hated it, because Osman gets to continue to make more movies, and improve on whatever kelemahan dalam debut dia dalam Puaka Tebing Biru.
Anak Halal...promises to be the film that brings together the aspects of commercial appeal as well as creative and artistic integrity, so here's hoping.
Kak Yasmin spent the night fluttering about among all the finalists, termasuk yang tak menang memberikan tips and sharing her experience and advice. Memang dia ni tak kedekut ilmu.
Oh by the way, walaupun tujuh lagi finalists didn't win anything, tapi tetap dengar pda malam tuh gak, yang kesepuluh filem pendek akan dihantar ke Munich untuk dinilai. Filem filem pendek tuh kalau ada yang dipilih akan ditayangkan kat sana melalui the Munich Film Festival,
Bangga sih produk filem tempatan.
Moral of the story, you don't need fancy schmancy CGI and big budget or big names to tell a good story (though it does help at the box-office)
Congratulation to BMW for making the night a big success and something to celebrate about for the filmmakers of tomorrow, as well as Fleishman Hillard Kuala Lumpur for their awesome hosting of the event (bangga with my sis, Joyce for her amazing input - and I'm not even mentioning the...erm...orange juice...).

PS - For those yang tatau apa kena mengena BMW dan filem dan ingat BMW pasai keta mewah je. sebenarnya BMW da lama terlibat dalam pembikinan filem. Da lebih 70 tahun penglibatan meka nih actually. and they've helped a lot of young filmmakers ngan pelbagai anugerah diraih di festival filem seluruh dunia with their involvement in the productions.

Dengan diumumkan senarai tenaga pengajar dan juga barisan pelajar untuk Akademi Fantasia musim ke 5, ada ke yang sudah teruja?
Honestly if you ask me, I don't know what to think...
Ok lah...yang aku boleh puji, nampak lah usaha tenaga produksi baru dalam cuba memperkenalkan elemen elemen baru untuk membakar minat pengikut siri.
Still, I don't know if it's enough that they basically consulted a feng shui master and changed the logo to red. Sebenarnya I think I'm one of the series' purists. I don't want to see it changed to the point of none recognition.
Even the logo....orange...purple..you get what I mean kan selepas empat musim.
Tapi kata meka tuk melambangkan kehangatan (matilaaaa background lahar kan...jangan last last memang lahar da ler) and so on...you get the picture.
They 'revamped' the concept of Inbasan Akademi Fantasia yang da takde, dan perkenalkan Debat Akademi Fantasia lak. Kind of replacing it with something with a more sensational appeal.
Yerlah...mau nya kalao ada yang bertekak sana sini kena ban (sila pastikan ada floor manager yang memastikan gambar Nasir Jani dan Rosnah Mat Aris terpampang ketika siarang langsung sebagai peringatan kepada tamu akibat bahasa jiwa b*ngs*t....oops!!!)
Then the SMS by the bundle thing called AFUNDI SAKAN.
EkkkkK!!!!!! (bunyi ala buzzer jawapan salah). SO WRONG!!!
Whoever introduced the term should be shot for failiure of understanding the show. Patutnya market it as a way nak senangkan pengundi. Instead, terbayang nak PULUN, BORONG dan sebagainya...which for the average viewer, orang tak kuasa nak undi.
Dah berapa musim kita dengar pasal pelajar ni punya ayah Datuk ler pam duit berpuluh ribu la....bapak si dia ni berhutang tuk nak berapa lot undi la...apa ni...???
Patutnya benda ni kalao nak buat duit pun, jangan ler nampak sangat meka galakkan. It becomes almost a shameless statement that they want to make money and that wang besar lebih dihargai daripada jumlah pengundi. Pikir bebetul ko paham ler statement aku.
Tapi takde ler semua buruk...like I said. The new production teams seems quite capable, and I suppose it is not fair to judge them this early on. Yerlah..kang aku nak puji sana sini lak orang kata tuh ni pasal aku.
So...yes, aku lom bersemangat membara agik pasal Akademi Fantasia...but...perhaps..who knows...we'll see this Saturday punya Tirai Akademi Fantasia jadik cam kes kedua musim lepas mana jadik showcase sponsor jer ke tak.
Moving on dari aspek tenaga pengajar, mula mula dikatakan tenaga pengajar seramai lima atau enam orang aku da hip hip hooray da.
Yerlah...I want to see the challenges of educating when it comes to a smaller ratio of faculty to students. All in all...seperti di khabarkan...the faculty was more or less what I expected. No real surprises.
Teringat zaman sekolah rendah masa start sistem KBSR dulu, satu kelas sampai 45 murid. Gila ker haper...
Anyways...tengok-tengok...alamak Dr Love ker haper dia ada...pastu ada fashion consultant agik! (nanti aku ulas kat bawah sikit). And cikgu Bahasa Inggeris? I think kak Fati pun da cukup...nak abihkan duit kat sapa lak ni????
To start off, mai kita mulakan ngan merangkap musical director Roslan Aziz.

Ada berani ke mau carut kata pemilihan ini salah? Roslan is of course and accomplished and well packaged enough in his talents to be both. Tu tak dapat dinafikan oleh mana mana pihak.
Walaupun hati aku tetap lebih senang ngan Ramli M.S. yang for me professional yang ada sikap (camna cakap ek) acuh tak acuh depan kamera....which works.
He was able to give an insight into the workings of the industry accurately when potrayed on camera. Tapi nak wat per..
How will Roslan fare? Again..dari bab menjalankan tigas secara teknikal, takde masalah.
What I do worry about is what everyone else feels too. Soal garang...marah. Aku pun tamau tengok budak budak tuh dimanjakan...but here's hoping it's done the right way lor. Good luck to Roslan.

I love kak Fati to bits!!! Dan peminat Akademi Fantasia yang mana leh kata kak Fati tak contribute. She's been one of the best members of the faculty and the sole reason why I would even bother about with Akademi Fantasia this time around.
Her work speaks for itself (when you have four daughters yang berlakon hebat dan diiktiraf...you have to be doing something right).
Cuma aku sedih sikit,gandingan dia ngan Umi Fauziah Nawi takde kali ni. She came back bila Umi takde lak. Nak nangis rasanya...aduh...but two thumbs up for kak Fati's inclusion.

Abang Dee kembali lagik ngan pesen rambut terbaru yang menampilkan rebonding tak kejung dan colour yang lebih natural!!!
Another one of my old favourites, memang takyah cita panjang lebar pasal pencapaikan ke kemampuan Adnan Abu Hassan ler. Happy they brought him back.
Have nothing against Ajai, but feel like Adnan has the right approach in bringing out the best in the kids as proven before.

Haiyooo!!! Perlu ke aku nak mengulas!!! Aku rasa this one is a YES YES YES all around. Eye candy for straight guys, and dance floor diva extrodinaire for those who are not. Girls want to be like her, and some boys too (matilah statement)
Anyways, just hope Linda brings it on for the choreography of Menuju Puncak yang hambar dua tahun ni. tetap koreografi musim kedua yang paling best!

Orang nak cakap apa pun, aku sebenarnya suka kat si Syafi nih. Approach dia dan cara dia interact with the students....
Tapi level keyakinan aku sebab pengajaran teknik yang aku rasa tak place emphasis on their vocal development in the short term.
A week by week syllabus which should encompass ALL the necessary basics, so that each week, lebih mendalam. Kira kalau pelajar minggu pertama ke kedua terkeluar pun, had a fair fight going into the competition, able to do their best to the extent of the short education.
Tu je masaalah aku nampak pasal Syafi. Can she compress her vocal performance syllabus into s 10 week course, which is also a detachable week by week stand alone programme. Mintak mintak leh ler kali ni. Sedih aku Siti Hajar tak wat comeback...

Alamak....tora datang lagik ngan pakar motivasi ting tong. With the personality of a dead fish, I wonder camna dia leh motivate with all those uninspiring and corny lines.
To be fair...erm....ok I can't. I just don't see why a motivational consultant kena di highlight kan. Takyah....at all. Apa? Kesian bebudak stress? Gi mampos ler...da dok Akademi, dapat elaun, makan minom jaga, belajar ngan tgenaga pengajar yang almost all meletop, kuar da glamer... and they're missing their cats or whatever becomes traumatic? As if...motivation comes in many forms....and they don't need someone specific for that. So unnecessary...

As a fashion designer...dia biasa je. Nothing great...nothing amazing. But then again nak salahkan camna...dah orang MASIH tak paham....
We don't need a fashion designer to dress these kids. We need a bona fide IMAGE CONSULTANT or STYLIST to take care of these kids and save them from the Dark Side called the wardrobe department! (matila Darth Vader pun leh lari kalao tengok costume tacky yang penah dipakaikan)
Good step in appointing someone to take care of everything to do with the attire of the kids. Bad move in not understanding apa yang di perlukan.
Image consultant or stylist diperlukan sebab meka ada pemahaman lebih mendalam mengenai subjek (in this case genre muzik) as well as the ability to suit to the individual's strength and play down the weaknesses in dressing someone up.
Fashion designer ni...kang kalao orang carut sesuatu yang azab (seperti baju Elmo yang Farhan pakai final lepas) kang terasa kata "cantik apa!!!" fashion is subjective!" (kata kata paling popular ketua wardrobe Astro...dan juga "apa kelayakan awak nak komen?!!" (same goes to you?)
They'll never seem to get this right...and harap la...aku mintak aku silap pasal hasil kerja yang bakal Jasmi tampilkan. I'm actually not judging his abilities, but the fact that his role does not fit the function.

Sebab gambar bakal guru Bahasa Inggeris takde, dan we don't know who in Uranus is he...and how astro dapat jimat duit kalao mintak kak Fati je ajar bebudak ni...baik kita cita pasal Aznil.
Again memacam dikatakan, dan ada yang tak suka dia masih memegang Akademi Fantasia as the overall branding host.
Me? Aku suka! Sebab apa pun nak cakap pasal Aznil...aku hadir SEMUA konsert musim kedua, ketiga dan keempat (musim pertama yang hadir dua konsert je) and Aznil kali terlalu banyak kali menyelamatkan keadaan kalau apa apa tak kena.
He's like the glue that sticks everything together whether it be a piece off sebab technical problems ke wardrobe problems ke...anything...kira dia ni Mr Fix It ler.
I think he's still good for Akademi Fantasia.
Now on kepada pelajar pelajar Akademi Fantasia...

Sebenarnya memang aku tak teruja pasal bab pelajar atas beberapa sebab.
One because I don't know i they can sing. Masa pengumuman semalam, pelajar pelajar tidak diperkenalkan, so nak tengok live pun susah.
Ni kira tahap musim pertama Akademi Fantasia da...sampai camni.
Yerlah...kalau musim kedua, sempat agik tengok muka memasing live. Dan yang ketiga siap- dengar sample suara. Sama ngan musim keempat.
Kata pihak produksi, ni supaya tak expose budak budak tu awal sangat. Biar kurang ler plastik meka tuh. Bagus gak...
Tapi...camna aku nak ulas. Ok ler...kalau ikut rupa..erm...sorang dua ada muka cam pelajar lepas lepas. Ada yang leh muka commercial..dan ada yang muka cam patut di posekan kat kolam renang tuk majalah. Personally tuk aku takde sorang pun yang 'tasty'. Merasalah statement takde taste kat memana...
Tatau ler orang lain camna.
Jumlah pelajar yang meningkat ke 16 lak, sebenarnya aku tak suka sebab aku rasa ramai sangat. Jumlah minggu pertandingan tetap sepuluh, so pastinya ada minggu dimana ada yang dua tiga orang sekali akan disepak trajang kuar dari Akademi.
Mesti Samsonite beriya sebenarnya nak taja beg banyak tahun ni.
Apapun, I don't like it sebab aku rasa focus on development susah sikit, plus tiada masa sangat bagi penonton mengenali pelajar ngan lebih dekat. This comes as a problem sebab tak sempat nak develop any sort of emotional attachment to any of the kids, which was a factor for kejayaan musim musim lepas.
Will it work in reverse kali ni? Entahlah...tak berani komen.
Apapun, Sabtu ni kita akan lihat ler buat kali pertama barisan pelajar pelajar ni.

Kat JW Marriott ni sambil menunggu bermulanya sidang akhbar untuk Akademi Fantasia musim kelima.
Acara patutnya bermula lewat sikit walaupun diberitahu akan bermula 2.30pm. Standard ler...waktu Malaysia.
Selepas playback video saat kemenangan juara juara Aznil mengalu-alukan juara juara lepas ke atas pentas.
Tanpa Vince, terasa kekurangan sikit ler..Faizal yang memulakan persembahan dengan backing penari.
Tak paham kenapa remix beberapa lagu dimasukkan untuk slot dia termasuk Fergalicious. Dahler dak tuh takleh nari. Yang pentingnya, dia leh nyanyi Wo! Aduh...antara lagu dia paling hancus dia perform meka leh bak dia tuk perform lagi skali.
Zahid lak on next with Kian....sedap...ya ampun. Bukan nak bandingkan Mawi tapi memang sedap versi Zahid. Terpukau rasanya dengan persembahan....kemudian Mawi lak masuk ngan Lihatlah. Ada ler lari sana sini tapi sedap gak. Tapi suara Mawi pun cam letih dan cam tak ingat sangat lirik.
Kemudian ketiga tiga bersama mempersembahkan Pantun Budi. Sayangnya memang Faizal tak nampak sync langsung. Zahid dan Mawi jer menonjol. Kalao camni takde kehadiran Faizal pun takpe.
Mawi siap lari sana sini ala iklan SilkyGirl...aduh memang kelakar dan nak pecah perot rasanya. Zahid standard ler...sorang agik...erm...no komen.
Pengurus Saluran Astro Ria dalam ucapan pembukaan , telah mengumumkan beberapa perkara ini yang merupakan perbezaan Akademi Fantasa ke 5 berbanding dari musim musim sebelumnya.
Dibawah ni adalah beberapa perkara yang disebut.

Perbezaan Akademi Fantasia musim ke 5
*Tahun ni Akademi Fantasia akan menampilkan 16 orang pelajar.

*Imbasan Akademi Fantasia tidak akan lagu keudara.

*Diari Akademi Fantasia akan disiarkan dari hari Ahad hingga Jumaat pada 9 malam dan konsert tetap setiap Sabtu malam.

*Debat Akademi Fantasia akan diperkenalkan dimana ia berbentuk wacana, diskusi and akan memberi tumpuan pada topik hangat yang berkaitan.

*Undi pukal atau undi serentak akan diperkenalkan. Melalui AFUNDI SAKAN, pengundi dibenarkanmengundi 3 hingga 5 undian sekali bagi setiap SMS yang dikirmkan. Ini untuk memudahkan pengundian.

*AFMASUK tidak akan ada tahun ini,  dan maklumat boleh diperolehi melalui butang merah Astro ketika menonton.

*Dengan menggunakan Maxis 3G mulai 12 Mac, siaran langsung AF@15 sehingga 21 jam boleh ditonton selain siaran langsung konsert Akademi Fantasia. Servis sama boleh didapatimelalui Aksi AF, laman web Astro, Trek Selebriti, @15, ERA dan butang merah.

Beberapa klip video ditunjukkan dengan menampilkan beberapa  highlight dari Akademi Fantasia musim lepas lepas.
Mula mula tunjuk Anding baca surat wasiat Edlin sambil nangis. Second si Farah nyanyi ke Johnny sambil nangis. Pastu Faizal dan Lotter ketika Lotter tersembunyi disebalik dinding tuh....
Komen Aznil...first cinta ntah haper..second tuh cinta angau pada kamera, dan ketiga cinta sama jenis!!! Aiyo...pecah perot aku gelak....
Aznil follow-up ngan komen cinta tu sejenis...sebab sama jenis..kedua nya cepat terasa. Tetap gelak dalam dewan tak abih-abih.
Banyak flashback ditunjukkan...Aznil banyak cita pasal Akademi Fantasia yang lepas lepas....nothing much and quite a waste of time actually sebab rasanya semua yang hadir pun da tau segala pasal Akademi Fantasia. Lamanya nak tunggu ni...
Tapi ada  lak bagusnya sebab kami dapat tengok playback playback seperti saat saat perpisahan yang banyak mengundang airmata.
Majlis kemudian diteruskan dengan pengumuman tenaga pengajar untuk sesi Akademi Fantasia yang baru. Ini diikuti dengan barisan pelajar.

Hari ni, tema aku is Heroes. Yes, yes... obvious reference to the TV series, but also dedicated to several Heroes I met today.
The first of my own Heroes I encountered today was Kudsia. She called me up and spoke to me for some time as promised.
Yerlah...orang busy...(jangan marah babe) but she enlightened me on a lot of things, professionally and personally (to do with me...not with anyone else.
The second was abang Aznil masa kat event prize giving Anugerah Bintang Popular earlier yesterday evening. Dia pun ada enlighten me on some things.
Apa topiknya? Takyah bagitau sini.... kang orang kata aku jaja tuh nih lak. Tapi sama ngan what was chatted with Kudsia...kalao sampai masanya, trust me, I will share it so many people who have gotten warped versions of this story will understand mine better.
Yang penting, orang yang cuba tutup periuk nasi orang tu...memang ada balasannya. As I've said. Karma.
Yes...be afraid. Be very afraid.

The next Hero this is dedicated to is Persatuan Akademi Industri Muzik Malaysia (PAIMM) chairman Aziz Bakar whom I had a decent chat with sebab isu isu berkaitan industri muzik.
You see, orang selama ni pandang aku as a young punk yang idea je lebih tapi tak mampu nak do what I say...and I am glad to say that perception has changed. Don't care about others who actually fall into that category, but thank you, sir, for looking at me differently. It matters when the real people with experience and knowledge validate you.
As my next Hero is Jennifer Thompson, the woman with balls of steel, and undoubtedly one of the most powerful people in the music industry. Gurl.. I'm holding you to your promise of best seats in the house ok for Anugerah Industri Muzik tahun ni, pas kena ban last year. Kira welcoming with open arms gituh molot puaka aku ni. Amik kooo.....
I'm glad...
Next on my list of Heroes, is Linda Onn. Not for any other reason but for showing up at the  ABP event. Some people might not see anything heroic about that, but no matter how much you love the spotlight...it still takes a lot of strength to face the world when it kicks sand in your face.
Lastly, Mawi sebab dia da bebas dari kongkongan dan dibelenggu. Bab ni aku takleh cakap or explain lebih sebab membabitkan isu sensitif sikit. And aku nampak perubahan mendadak hasil tu. You go, botak!
Lain aku kena sebut ala Heroes ialah, Juan, ebab rebonding rambut dia agik (kawan kawan kena la cakap gak), dan Vernon (sebab belanja seafood dinner...kena gak thank you...tamao ungrateful like some people)
On Heroes agik...this time Akademi Fantasia. While my sumber tu memang confirmed kan bab Roslan Aziz tuh, ada lak yang bisik info ni kat aku.
"Bukan Roslan lah...tengok lah kalau jadi si Roslan tuh. Tapi info aku dari dalam Astro yang leh caya gak. Dan memang meka kalau follow through ngan calon ni..memang kejutan yang bersejarah"
Aku pun bite the bait.
"Ah ah...betul...kejutan nya sebab...mungkin...mungin lah....kalao jadi...buat kali pertama, pengetua Akademi Fantasia ialah seorang wanita!"
Terduduk sat. Alamak...last minute info lak. Tapi betul ke? Tunggu la tengok terjawabnya pada petang esok.

Anyway kalau ada sesapa minat Heroes, it's been announced by producer Tim Kring yang Heroes musim pertama akan ada 23 episode. And meka da buat perancangan sampai lima musim. Amik ko!
NBC meanwhile over a month ago da confirm at least tuk tayangkan dua musim. Amik ko...berapa tahun lak akan bertahan ni.

Moving away from the Heroes theme...today cover upacara penyampaian hadiah (terbayang sekolah bila cakap camtuh) for ABP kan.
Acara tu diadakan untuk...erm... menyampai kan hadiah ler..apa lagi... to the winners in the artistes juga kepada pembaca pembaca yang bertuah.
Tamu artis ramai gak...aku rasa semua pemenang hadir...Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Mawi, Fasha Sandha, Saiful Apek, Rabbani, Faizal...impressive turnout and of course pemenang yang bertuah pun seronok ler. Field day (don't mind the pun) for them nak bergambar dan beramah mesra ngan their idolas (merosakkan bahasa je aku ni pakai plural)
Gila punya power decor tuh...temas merah dan putih.
Buat kat garden, ala courtyard of the Palace of the Golden Horses.
Aku tak planning nak amik gambar sebab banyak interview dan sebagainya yang nak dihabiskan, but I had to show off the scale of the preparations. Biasanya people would have buat biasa biasa je sebab yerlah kan...event pun da over.
But the organisers of ABP didn't want to do yang biasa biasa and they came out with this spectacular layout. Impressive siot....
Da macam wedding lak instead of a prize giving ceremony... a very white (and red) garden wedding. Initially panas nak mampos, but the sun disappeared when the event bermula, and cooled down a little so people started appreciating the ambience a lot more.
And it really was kind of nice, with everything bright and all, when the guests semua tiba pakai ikut tema warna merah dan putih, the corporate colours of Berita Harian.
Ada ler yang fashion disaster sikit cam pinjam wardrobe department punya baju...but generally everyone looked good in the theme.
Aku mula mula ingat nak snap pics sorang sorang, tapi cam biasa jek. Aku rasa banyak kali aku wat camtuh, so malas...decided not to. Then broke my own rule not to take any pics from this event, and just took ttwo simple ones yang sebenarnya tak nampak pun muka mereka yang aku catch candid unaware nih.
And of course pada Bintang Paling Popular yang menerima habuan kemenangannya (which include his FOURTH free car - bak sebijik sini ler Mawi, dari ko biar sadai kat kampung je...).
Anyways on Mawi...thank you botak sebab ajak ke Kulai kang tuk kenduri hang. Planning ngan bebudak lain nak gi sana. Last aku gi masa Pak Atan meninggal...so kali ni pun...at least for more happier reasons kan...

Isn't it strange...pelik sungguh Akademi Fantasia menjadi bahan nak orang jaja tuk laku kan diri...I mean take for example all those yang jual merchandise tipu, janji ada logo Akademi Fantasia.
Well...at least those people are trying to make a living (by stealing copyrighted intellectual property) but at least, some amount of effort went it.

Apapun, congrats Roslan on getting the position, no matter what people say...ko da pegang posisi tuh. Mesti ada yang dengki, tapi professionally, you are the most suitable man for the job, and that goes without saying.
Will it be good for the programme? It's not the only deciding factor in the success of the show.
Mengenai tenaga pengajar, sebab lum kuar spekulasi siapa tenaga pengajar...aku malas nak komen lebih sebab kang cam desperate nak dedahkan info yang privy ni.
All I can say is the production team made one of the few better judgements in picking most of the faculty members yang berjaya menambat hati penonton.
Siapa? Oh I don't know...check ler sapa yang pegang jawatan sebelum-sebelum ni..think formula orang lama yang berjaya menjayakan Akademi Fantasia sebelum sebelum ini.
Would you like to see back the kemunculan of nama nama seperti Adnan Abu Hassan., Fatimah Abu Bakar dan Siti Hajar yang hilang musim lepas.
Of course the familiar names yang kita suka cam Fauziah Nawi dan  Linda Jasmine pun, turut disenaraikan ketika musim kedua...so there may just be a return to the formula....jangan discount the possibilities. Siapa ang akan bekerjasama ngan Roslan Aziz?

Aku hanya leh dedahkan yang tenaga pengajar Akademi Fantasia tahun ni akan dikurangkan. Kalau tahun lepas sampai sepuluh akibat ada yang tak perlu...tahun ni, it'll be a bare minimum to about five or six. So tikam...jangan tak tikam.

Aku nak ucap tima kasih pada Mawi ler sebab menjawab banyak soalan sejujur an seikhlas mungkin, walaupun banyak isu yang di tanya nihm sebenarnya sensitif bagi diri dia tuh.
Apapun, I'm keeping my promise setiap interview aku buat tu akan confront each artiste untuk sejujurnya mengenai apa jua yang dikatakan oleh individu tuh.
I'm having fun doing this, tapi aku rasa selepas beberapa episod ni kang, ada perubahan drastik akan diperlijhatkan pada 60 Saat Bersama...  di atas banyak idea sumbangan phak pihak tertentu to take it one step further. Seperti apa?
Adalah... tak sangka dalam suka suka buat, turns out it's really a first of sorts and ramai lak pihak yang nak aku go further with this project yang asalnya tuk suka suka.

Semalam gayut ngan kak Yasmin (luv ya dearie) and discussed the possibilities of it becoming a single.Yerlah... kalau nak kata lagu yang ala ala irama Malaysia yang da semakin berkurangan,
Hujan is a good example of the genre, andI think nak bagi dak muda nak dengar balik flavour of the genres so none mainstream cam keronchong.
So will it happen? Yasmin is working on it...keep your fingers crossed ok. Aku da leh terbayang final Juara Lagu ngan kak Dibah bak lagu tuh da...can you?
Ok ler...nak sambung keja sikit sebelum kena radiation asik dok ngadap laptop je.

Dalam kesibukan, there were a few things aku lupa nak posting...for example, last Sunday night, aku ngan Budiey ke show Gang Starz nak usha how the participant were, sebab tau most of them that night would be the Indonesian groups.
Memang power!!!
It was amazing to see how tight their harmonies were, and how apt they were in performing vocal acrobatics, unlike most of our kids who generally just sing in unison, mistaking it for harmonies, or just come up with clashing notes, as said this critic.
Speaking of which, mak aih...sampai je, masuk studio, terus nampak Vern...hard to miss him because baju ala ala nak celebrate Raya Cina gituh. Talk about blinding...and being a target for bovines.
Tapi yang penting, kalao korang pernah dengar nama Jovian Mandagie, please note this name. of course, Jovian is also Ning's regular designer...so ada ler orang tuh kena gak pakai designer yang nama meletup meledak kebelakangan ni (let's not even go there). Merasalah  manager yang all out stylo nak kalahkan artis sendiri. Haiyo!!! Still...all in all...a good job Vern... and good critiques too. Nice to see people who have a background actually in the position to make comments, and not people who generally assume they know everything.
Let it be noted that I think he was the first person to critique with the use of the word 'berangan' ok. And considering it was for the Singaporean hip hop wannabes, you can only suppose it was coming anyways.
Tapi lama da tak ke studio Finas yang terletak nun jauh kat Hulu Kelang, dekat ngan entrance of Zoo Negara. Been ages since I been there.
Apapun, yang best nya, masa nak balik masa tuh, spotted this little remnant of memories that once took centrstage there, not too long ago.
Pada sapa yang tatau, Sensasi juga was aired from the same studio Amik ler ko bits of the set left over dumped outside of the studio. Wonder if they'll get about using it again.
Yang penting...aku ingat aku sorang je yang amik gambar 'kenangan' tuh..rupanya ramai yang kuar, amik kesempatan take a pic with the backdrop.
Speaking of which...sorry ler semalam aku tak sempat jawab call ramai yang sibuk enquiry memacam...was really busy as all hell.
Then pas abih lak, singgah Astro atas jemputan Anita from Tayangan Unggul to catch the offline screening of filem baru Osman Ali yang bertajuk Anak Halal.
Now, if you recall the horrors that was Puaka Tebing Biru (not a good thing...as I wasn't referring to the genre)...this one isn't in that league. In fact, aku impress gila....as it shows promising signs that it'll be one of the biggest Tayangan Unggul releases (scheduled release August).
Dibintangi banyak nama yang besar, including Rosyam Nor, Farid Kamil, Maya Karin, Raja Farah, Zul Huzaimy, Khatijah Tan etc, the movie surprisingly fresh from Osman yang lebih dikenali tuk more arty dramas.
Yang penting...tunjuk kampung aku ok! Klang is one of the main locations for the shoot! Siap nampak Jambatan Kota, the first double decker bridge in Malaysia ang dulu kalao nak ke bandar dari sekolah we had to cross.
Para bloggers dijemput sekali event yang juga termasuk kehadiran beberapa rakan media such as Farihad (Berita Harian) dan Saharuddin (editor hiburan Kosmo!).
Bloggers diwakili juga oleh Vern, Budiey, Ajami dan Kash.
The point of the exercise, was to stress the strengths and weaknesses of the production so thsat it can be fine tuned when the film goes to print (is that the right term?)
Best..best...mungkin leh saing Mukhsin and Syaitan as among the best films for 2007.
So still am quite busy with covering the Linda Onn affair (again, tak mau komen pasal isu tu).
Wat tension bijik je semalam kena pecahkan pala nak pikir camna nak present the story (either you understand or you don't). It was touching to see the first thing Linda did was embrace her parents, and hug and cry. Aduh...
The other touching thing was melihat kehadiran Fahrin there to support Linda. Ok fine...aku tau ramai mesti tanya meka ni ada apa apa ke tak...honestly, I don't know, and it is not for me to know kan. I do know they are close. And he has been providing her with the moral support as a friend would, rather than scamper off to some dark corner as I know some would be friends would do in times of adversity.
By the way...again, kalao korang nak tengok video of the arrival semalam, it's in the previous entry, though I think at this point, korang mesti da tengok berita, and today's newspapers will probably have it splashed all over da kan.
That anyways....was enough to keep me busy until petang bila gegas nak make it for the screening of Anak Halal.
How long is this issue going to drag on? And all the fuss over a dress...*sigh*

At the airport, masa ngan Farihad, dalam tunggu Linda sampai on flight MH95 yang mendarat tepat 11.42am, with Linda making her entrance to much fuss at the Arrival Hall at 12.55pm...sempat ler kami dok melayan press lain yang hadir.
Seronok lak lama lama da tak camping camni....abang Nas Melodi dan geng ada...Shikin...Rafaie...Nizam...aiyo....ramai lah.
Yang penting nya masa nak interview Linda kami semua nak wat keja, entah haper mamat Paki ke Bangladeshi tetiba sibuk kerumun gak sebab nak tengok star mana mai.
Masa kita leaving, I snapped this pic. Yer...this pic was at the other exit ok...so jangan confuse katakan ni sambutan tuk kepulangan Linda. Merasalah bunga manggar segalanya....cam tak sesuai lak. I bet the tourists were pretty confused sebab ada all the festivities, and then tetiba ada Prss and camera crew selonggok nearby tengah crowd together.

To recap a little, the event is good for new and up and coming filmmakers sebab it offers up to RM50,000 in production assistance to enable the winner to make a professional short film, which will be entered at major international film festivals.
Kira memang makan hati ler kalao menang.
And I've been spending the past day or two watching (ko gi BMW Shorties leh tengok streaming atau download) the top ten finalists which have been announced. And some of the short films are REALLY awesome!!!

There are several interesting facts about some of the entrants....contoh cam Kongsi Dalam Gelap adalah filem hasil Melissa Saila (da lama tak dengar nama dia kan?)
And of course, we all now know that Kiri ialah hasil blogger bernama Tok Rimau (kempen...jangan tak kempen)
I've watched most of the movies....with one or to to go....and somehow...I think my favourites are still Westbound (seram tapi lawak).
Korang gi BMW Shorties dan download atau tengok kat sana je. Yerlah...kalao gi panggung..mahal lak tiket, nak beli ciplak...dosa lak mencuri rezeki orang.
Ni bagi pree tengok je. Lagikpun esok lusa ada antara pembuat pilem ni popular la...terkenal kang...you saw it first kan?
Aku still watching a few more...kang aku abih tengok, aku letak yang mana aku paling suka.

Ni basic rundown of the films and what I thought of them....just my opinion of course.

K-Hole : With a title suggestive of an infliction on the orifice with a rather large sexual assault weapon, it comes with a simple premise, and yet thought provoking. Well almost...I laughed. But in a manner of pondering gak ler.
Decent storyline, though nothing substansial presented quite well visually. Love the camerawork and also the lighting, but most especially the simplicity in delivery. The only problem is the editing, from the opening bit, all the way to the end, which makes it kind of draggy. Dark humour, tapi best gak.

J'ai Pas Sommeil (I Can't Sleep) : Weak script, no storyline, too much focus on trying to be too film noir (thanks to my sis who pointed out the term that eluded me). Very Japanime pop culture. All style no substance. Kind of boring...and if that dude was trying to pin it on his loneliness....I don't wonder about his condition sebab dia membosankan ler...and he could probably bore the pants off anyone....actually thought he was in a semi-maniacal state of delusion or something after a break-up.
Either that or in reference to the title...a bad case of insomnia.
Good attempt...but a little tired...
And a tad pretencious..should have been named 'Wa Beh Khun' in Hokkien instead to make it more direct.
PS - Mirai E's Kiroro is so wrong for that scene.

Jemi Anak Pok... - Starts out well, blessed with good location. Penggambaran kat lokasi yang memang evokes images of your heavenly picturesque kampungs. Editing is choppy, and storytelling was quite a failure. Tried too hard, and came across as a Drama Minggu Ini trying to pass off as an art flick. Saved by decent camera work.and lakonan yang lakonkan the part of the helpless father. Still...a notch above Cerekarama.
Mildly touching...but too predictable and overdrawn.

Kongsi Dalam Gelap - Ni ler yang aku katakan hasil kerja Melissa Saila. Thought it would be worth a watch.
Everything from lighting to camera work hancur for me. Even the acting is bordering on amateurish. Tapi yang menyelamatkan the whole thing is the decent script which is better than most of the others. Simple, but they should have put more work into illustrating the story.

Kelapa - Kind of cute. But talk about bad acting. The guy who made this however has a future for being appointed as the next government campaigh ad consultant because it looks like one of those. That or an extended TV Pendidikan production gone wrong (it's got the same cheap, synthesized, backing music for it)

Westbound - My favourite by far. This one has a simple story to tell, which will definitely creep you out, despite you trying to keep a straight face from laughing over the fag-esque 'bomoh''s over acting moments.
In terms of package, hope this guy makes something out of himself, because memang best gila cita ni. Kecuali kalao korang jadi cam aku kabur lak nak tengok ending dia. Worth downloading and watching again.
Apart from the suspense, and 'horror' of the urban legend, this flick also offers two of the best lines of all the finalists, including "The glue on Isreali postage stamps is certified kosher" and lagi satu, something to do with the storyline.
Pop appeal with a touch of decent attention.

Singgam! (We Are Lions My Brother!) - Silly, but quite funny.
Ignore everything you know about filmmaking....because this guy sure did. Still...it was one of the better shorts to watch. Trust me.

Kiri (Left) - Alamak...tak berani aku nak kritik hasil kerja blogger top ni. Actually camni ler.
Again gagal shortie ni sebab horrible acting and equally horrible editing.
It's like watching an MTV, slaughtered for the sufferers of Attention Deficit Disorder, but done with the background of again...Cerekarama.
Still, the script is quite decent...but dunno la. Hard to look beyond the amateurish approach even though there are quite some workable ideas.
Much has to be developed from the aspect of approaching the topic to the actual delivery.

Yesterday was a laugh!
Masa nak gerak dari office about late noon, dapat lak mesej dari abang Hisham, press secretary to Information Minister Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin. Dah leh agak ler isu apa akan di sebut.
Tengok tengok betul...heh...katanya Datuk Zam nak komen pasai Rosnah Mat Aris. Amik ko!!! Tapi sebab aku da memang kena gi press conference untuk Anugerah Industri Muzik, so last last si Aqidah terpaksa ganti aku.
For those yang nak tau, so farni info aku leh share.
Afdlin Shauki and Bob Lokman (urghh!!!) akan host the show again.
Penyampai anugerah lak termasuk Adibah Noor, Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, Dina, Faizal Hot FM, Faizal AF4, Faizal OIAM, Farah AF2, Hannah Tan, Jaclyn Victor, Jinbara, Maya Karin, Nita, Noryn Aziz, Phat Fabes Fly FM, Ramlah Ram, Shahnon Shah, Sharifah Aleya, Syafinaz dan Zahid.
Manakala artis yang akan membuat persembahan adalah Anuar Zain. M. Nasir, Mawi, Rabbani, Ramli Sarip, Reshmonu, Samsons, Sean Ghazi, Sofaz.

But the Akademi ada katakan dua slot persembahan agik (atas tuh ada yang akan digabungkan dalam enam slot) yang lom tau sapa akan perform.

Pas mendapat apology from the industry for the ban on me, the kriteria tahun ni pun, of course korang da tau da ubah, which is album penuh kini bukan lagi 10 lagu atau 45 minit, tapi 8 lagu atau 30 minit.
Tima kasih ler pada Akademi dan kuasa kuasa besar industri muzik kerana mengambil kira perkembangan industri kita tuk nak membuat perubahan positif.
Still...cam hambar sikit ler performance list...but takpe...aku tamau judgemental sangat. We wait and see...
Tengah-tengah interview sana sini (banyak mengumpat - topik paling hangat Tak Mesra Sokmo Cit Cat), dapat lak SMS...jangan tatau... hah...rupanya kak PC lagik satu, Datuk Zam da announce yang Rosnah Mat Aris kena gam setahun dari semua production TV dan radio RTM. Amikkk kooo!!!
Pada meka yang missed Sensasi (like me) yang da kena banned, ni clip komen Mat Nah Blonde time tu yang mengakibatkan dia kena gam gajah super glue UHU.

Moral of the story?Nak cakap tuh be careful...jangan nak cukup pandai tak kena tempat. Kan da kena....eh...sounds familiar lak for something that made me smile. Oh well...la di da.
Pada mereka yang minat webisode 60 Saat Bersama...ni berita terbaru. Of course korang da tau episode 3 feature Nabila (akan diuploadkan dalam sehari dua ni) manakala episode 4 menampilkan...MAWI!!!!
Yerps...si botak komen pasal tuh nih termasuk bab pencarian Saliha. So keep tuned for that.

Aku tau ramai yang tunggu sapa akan membintangi filem Aduh Saliha sebagai heroine opposite Mawi...dan teka teki tuh nampaknya masih akan berterusan.
Ramai tanyakan kat aku sebab kata aku mesti tau kan...tapi aku ngaku. Sebenarnya aku sendiri tak tahu.
But before kata per per...mai aku jelaskan...sebab M. Nasir pun tatau ok. Leh? Pening dah? Well...al kisahnya pencarian masih berterusan bagi Saliha.
Kalao selama ni dengar bermacam nama, memang....sebenarnya casting terbuka pada semua, dan ramai pelakon baru, bakat Akademi Fantasia serta pelakon wanita yang lebih berpengalaman ada audition.
Tapi... masih belum yang mampu nak membawa watak tu danmenjiwai seperti yang di harapkan... kata bang Nasir ler.
Memang benar selain Mawi dan Felix tengah sibuk ke kelas lakonan, Leez pun turut serta....but honestly, abang Nasir kata belum pun ada watak yang tertentu ditawarkan pada Leez.
Benar ke tak? Tak tahu lah...
But the reality is, kata abang Nasir...memang pencarian berterusan.
Tapi yang best nya...kalao ada sesiapa yang mampu nyanyi (sebab dia kata Aduh Saliha adalah musical where lebih lima lagu baru akan diperkenalkan, bukan sahaja nyanyian Mawi tapi juga 'Saliha') kena laa pandai menyanyi selain dari kemampuan berlakon.
Da abang Nasir janji kan....so kalao feeling mampu nak jadik Saliha tepon Luncai Emas kat nombor 03-61561357 or pegi sendiri ke Luncai Emas beralamat di 579, Jalan 1B/7, Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh, Selangor.
