Firstly, and most importantly, kepada semua yang doa untuk kesihatan abang Bad, I'd like to thank you guys. Yes, he is still in SJMC, tapi visited him petang semalam and thankfully, he was awake, and mampu nak cakap. Spent some time alone with him, and talked. Mmm...entahlah. All I can say is, money doesn't buy you everything....and yet, so many people bitch so easily about it. At times, likes this, love and relationships count, and that's when people you care about matter most...and yet so few people appreciate things they deem so unimportant. Lantak lah ko...your time will come when you realise how cold and lonely you are. To abang Bad, you still have thelove of many, and we're all going to be there for you, praying for you to get better. At the moment, kalao ada yang nak perkembangan terbaru, abang Bad kini dalam Coronary Care Unit (CCU). After asking what happened and all (dia kena about midnight - ingat dia kena time pagi aku dapat mesej tu) Spent some time sembang, and then sempat gelak abang Bad punya Get Well card yang Leen bagik. It said something like 'The Doctor Says You'll Be Normal In No Time...' and then belah dalam, '....That'll Be A First'. Matilah sarcastic and funny. So Leen...you rock gurl. Sempat wak lawak bodoh sat and related to abang Bad some details of what happened the night before about something funny that happened and laughed some more. Then the circus led by the ringmaster came. Matilah statement keji. Anyways sebab orang ni da break the taboo of photographing in the room, aku pun start... Fascinating actually sebab abang Bad was hooked up on this huge amount of machinery. Cam sci fi movie sangat. Not to mention he was hooked up all over on these tubes and all. Very the Star Trek (yang 70s version lah) The one he had on his left hand, was kind of funky, dan abang Bad siap bangga ok, ala ala very the laser pointed, light sabre, , laser pointer kind of combo. Amik ko...dalam tu lak, bila si Vernon da lead si Rudy, Abie dan Audi Mok masuk, sempat lak ada yang point out how lucky he was to be able to wear the hospital gown yang erm...roomy and comfortable. Merasalah abang Bad kejap kejap tug at his shoulder area and tummy area kata nak adjust kain dia sebab terlampau seksi. Aiyo!!! Anyways, it was good to see him ok, and also of course since we had nice grapes from the hamper the circus brought. So anyway...abang Bad, you get well ok. Hugs to the big teddy bear.... After we went a-viisiting, the circus, and I (minus Audi) went to the gala premiere of Dreamgirls at TVG KLCC. The movie was bigger and better on the big screen, and memang worth it gila ler. Ada ler dua tiga babak yang leh nitiskan airmata, as expected (which doesn't happen when you watch it on your computer) including (note so you can get the tissues ready) - when Effie belts out And I Am Telling You, and when the reunion takes place in the end (oops...forgot the spoiler warning). But then again, I think most people just want to see what the pictures from the event...so there. Ramai gak yang hadir. Mawi tak stay for the movie sebab ada futsal event haper ntah...so stay for the cocktail je....along ada Ning, Nikki dan Yanie (yang perform ala Motown ok), Dayang, Jac, Camelia, Zainal Alam Kadir (uwaaa...former boss aku celeb skang ek), Iwan FO3, Ramli M.S., Ogy Ahmad Daud, Faradhiya, Aznil Nawawi....aiyo...ramai....aku tinggal nama sapa lagik ek...aku tak banyak amik pics sebab masa tu excited nak tengok the film...but this is what I took.
Check out the crowd. About 300 or so invited guests or more.
Kak Cham, editor bahagian hiburan Berita Harian dan Ramli M.S. pose one for me, and Mawi nak ciao ngan peminat mengejar in the other pic.
Kak Ogy pose vogue tau khas tuk aku, dan Ning lak feel Deena!
Jac dan Dayang...the lovely ladies for the night.
Camelia dan Nikki yang feeling Jennifer Hudson minus the weight problem.
Ok ler tuh jer ler aku sempat update...malas nak tulis panjang panjang...a lot of work to be done tomorrow...so there. Have a good weekened guys...and toodles!!! Oh by the way, if you're wondering about the title of this posting, aku tatau apa nak letak headline for this entry, so tengah layan Astro in the background, there was this line from the script of this movie I wasn't paying attention to that caught my attention.

Baru dapat khabar berita sebentar tadi melalui SMS from Shonny. Abang Badrul has been admitted to the Subang Jaya Medical Centre CCU after a mild heart attack. Everyone please pray for him. More updates later....
Aku ari ni tamau wat entry personal.because today is my review of Dreamgirls. Yes, caught it, no not on ciplak punya DVD but on downloaded format. Aku wat review skang because tomorrow, ada gala premiere for the event, aku nak pastikan aku focus on our local stars cause I already know every inch of the Dreamgirls movie. If that isn't enough, aku siap da tengok the original Broadway staged version thanks to the beauty of technology. Yer...pada sapa yang tatau, it';s not Beyonce ok who made Dreamgirls big. Dreamgirls was already a big musical prior to it making film. Now on to one of the most anticipated movies of the year (for me - apart from The Simpsons Movie and Transformers The Movie amongst others)
Synopsis The story begins with Curtis Taylor Jr (Jamie Foxx) who is a car salesman with a big dream to make it in the music business with his tadical ideas in 1960s Detroit where being black equalled your song not being played on the radio. He comes across The Dreamettes, comprising of Deena Jones (Beyonce Knowles), Lorrel Robinson (Anika Noni Rose) and lead singer Effie White (Jennifer Hudson) with cheap wigs (siap pakai terbalik ok, that's creativitiy for you) and homemade outfits - that still look better than the outfits you see on Akademi Fantasia, with original songs an choreography courtesy of C.C., Effie's brother (Keith Robinson). They get their first real break backing up James 'Thunder' Early (Eddie Murphy), before Curtis introduces the trio for their own spot, tapi kali ni nak jual rupa Deena, pushing Effie to the back The rest is drama and more than enough songs for me to holler to (kesian sapa yang akan dok sebelah aku nak dengau sora katak aku melalak skali pada lagu lagu)
Facts *It took 25 years for Dreamgirls to be made into a movie. *The script for Dreamgirls began with Big Dreams. The musical then was written by Tom Eyen and Henry Krieger and made public theatre. *On Dec 20 1981, Dreamgirls began its run at the Imperial Theatre with a cast that included Jennifer Holliday. *In 1982, Dreamgirls received 13 Tony Award nominations (anugerah seni pentas) and won six. *The success of Dreamgirls also saw the work of David Foster, who was involved in the original caat album of the musical. *The show has been performed in many countries, which include Malaysia sometime in the 80s, anyone remember that? *The songs And I Am Telling You and I Am Changing placed Jennifer Holliday among the legendary divas and made them the biggest musical anthems. And I Am Telling You is considered the BEST tune from musicals and is my personal drama tune. The new version has Beyonce to thank for in making One Night Only a crossover pop hit. *Jennifer Hudson was originally was one of the favourites of the American Idol where she was anticipated to join Latoya London and Fantasia Barrino in the top three for the battle of divas before two of them were eliminated before Fantasia won. *Dreamgirls received eight 2007 Academy Award nominations, the most of any film for the year, but it didn't get one for Best Picture, Best Director, or any of the lead acting categories. The film's nominations include Best Supporting Actor (Eddie Murphy), Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Hudson), Best Achievement in Costume Design, Best Achievement in Art Direction, Best Achievement in Sound Mixing, and three nominations for Best Song (Listen, Love You I Do, and Patience). Dreamgirls is the first live-action film to receive three nominations for Best Song with only Disney animated features Beauty and the Beast (1991) and The Lion King (1994) having achieved that. In 2007 Golden Globe Awards, Dreamgirls was nominated in five categories: Best Picture - Comedy or Musical, Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical (Beyoncé Knowles), Best Supporting Actor (Eddie Murphy), Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Hudson), and Best Original Song (Listen). The film won the awards for Best Picture - Comedy or Musical, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress. The film also garnered Screen Actors Guild Awards for Supporting Actress (Jennifer Hudson) and Supporting Actor (Eddie Murphy), as well as a nomination for its ensemble cast. The film was also nominated by the Producers Guild of America for Best Picture and the Directors Guild of America for Bill Condon's directing. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts gave the film nominations for Supporting Actress (Jennifer Hudson) and Music (Henry Krieger). Dreamgirls was nominated for eleven 2007 International Press Academy Satellite Awards, and won four, Best Picture - Comedy or Musical, Best Director (Bill Condon) (tied with Clint Eastwood for Flags of Our Fathers), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Jennifer Hudson), and Best Sound (Mixing & Editing). Dreamgirls also received a record eleven Black Reel Award nominations, among them Best Film, Best Actor (Jamie Foxx), Best Actress (Beyoncé Knowles), Best Supporting Actor (Eddie Murphy), and Best Supporting Actress (Jennifer Hudson). In addition, Dreamgirls received eight NAACP Image Awards nominations, including Best Picture, and was named as one of the American Film Institute's top ten films of 2006.
What did I think of it? Love it love it love it love it love it!!!!!!! I'm a freak when it comes to musicals (aku pegi panggung bayar sendiri ok nak tengok The Producers FOUR times - keep it happy, keep it snappy...) And Dreamgirls is definitely a showcase of amazing acting. The real star of the movie bukan Beyonce ok, but Jennifer Hudson. She carries off where the other Jennifer (Holliday) left off with her big voice. Vocally, Hudson takde ler standard Hollliday but I think she fared a lot better in the acting department. Beyonce is just so-so and despite her starring role, I think the folks behind it letak nama Beyonce besau besau because in an ironic move, like the storyline, meka nak jual rupa dan nama Beyonce. Still...it's all fabulous. Listen to the songs before ko pegi tengok (if you haven't heard the songs, so you can sing along, like what I did when The Bodyguard made the screens here - watched that SIX times in the cinema). Anyway...definitely worth a watch.... After all...it is one of the best movies of the year. And no, no poster colored painted faces in green biting of toes for this one...
Now I've gotten that out of the way, tomorrow aku akan posting pics from the event sebab the gala premiere malam esok if I am not mistaken is organised by Berita Harian with all the biggest stars in the country attending the event. The theme, aku dengar for the event is Motown, so aku nak gak tengok how many of our local artises understand what Motown means. Nanti aku post pics tomorrow... Meanwhile, I'll leave you guys with clips from the original Dreamgirls, the first taken from the 1982 Tonys and the second a clip from the movie. So you guys can compare...and then enjoy the movie trailer, and erm...a little bonus. Enjoy....and be posting soon...

First of all, to the important stuff. I know ramai yang tertanya pasal pic Siti kat Grammys kan? I got the email from Star World (terima kasih teramat Nini, Naomi and the Star World and the Channel [V] family) semalam, tapi pikir nak simpan posting tuk ari ni je. Yerlah kan...paper kena print dulu baru leh kuarkan...kalau tak, namanya conflict of interest....yes, some of us have something called ethics. Anyways, aku da agak most papers would not run all the pictures given, most run dua je tak silap aku....I got about five. So ni nak kongsi pics tuh. Enjoy!!!
Gambar ni semua aku da kecikkan, but didn't make to make them too small sebab kang semua bising lak kan kata tak nampak sebab pics cinonet sangat. So korang kena sabar jer la loading time camtuh because if you use a dial-up lama sikit ler nak bukak pics.....silap silap tak muncui kena refresh terus. Honestly the only thing I like about these pictures is Datuk Bernard Chandran's dress. I think it makes Siti look old and frumpy. Dalam nak nampakkan Siti pinggang kicik, he went and made her whole upper body look extremely bulky! Material dia lak mula mula aku nampak ok sebab it does look like tweed, tapi bila on close up, lor, those miniscule sequins lak. Keji tau...dah menjadi identiti negara kita ke ngan kewajipan labuci kena ada kat baju artis kita ni. I mean...we surely can do better than that kan? At the end of the day, creations like this prove yang nama cam Bernard Chandran ni setakat makan nama je cause hasil tak seberapa. Anyways, moving on...nak ucap Happy Valentine's Day to all...my own Valentine ni jauh sangat...but takpe...it's the thought that counts. To my new found sweetheart...here's hoping things will be as wonderful tomorrow as they were yesterday and as they are today. Eh...lupa lak nak wish pada Siti dan Datuk K yang spending their Valentine's kat LA and then cuti seminggu to a secret location. Siti...jangan lupa bak ole ole balik yang dijanjikan!!! Eh..nak sambung keja sat.
PS - Tolong kreditkan Star World dan Channel [V] untuk gambar ni kalao nak tempek memana ok.
Yer...saksikan la internet cafe bergerak ini, Jangan tatau..citer nya aku sebenarnya tengah siap keja. Masa tu tengah online, so sambil tuh parking ler nick online. Si Boy Kerol lak pot pet ngan aku. Aku pun haven't spent time ngan dia da...dulu penah rapat giler ngan dia. And then small misunderstanding (and I mean small and petty, not some backstabbing bullshit, or selfish act of bitchiness like some cases I've encountered), nyebabkan kami lama tak bertegur. Tapi kami tak pun berperang. Anyways kebelakangan ni kami selalu terserempak....so kebetulan aku parking online tu, si Boy ajak ler jumpa. Dia mai to my office in Bangsar, and then masa tu sebab keja pun da complete dan send in da, kami gerak ke KLCC. Sambil melantak kat Dome, memasing bukak laptop. In about an hour, si Ted lak join. Penoh satu meja. Makan minom semua letak lak kat bench. Keji kan... Makan minum second importance katanya... Anyway masa tu memang lantak ler orang cakap apa...Internet cafe bergerak pun jadilah. Siap webcam tuh...aku ngan boy sempat videoconferencing sat (matilah berangan...tapi janji ada). From there, we gerak ke izzi, which was in Bukit Bintang, and then sambung kat gerai kak Ara. Saja je..seronok lak...kalau biasa technology meminggirkan kami dari what happens in real life, this was one example where technology brought us all together. Sapa nak join lain kali...kita leh wat gathering...heh! Ok...nak sambung bab entry....will post some nice pics tomorrow...nak tau pasal apa? Korang mesti suka punya lah...aku esok ada banyak sikit keja nak abihkan, so I'll post early. Tunggu!!!
Ari ni banyak kerja, as Monday always is. Depresssing really sebab hati nak cuti sangat ni ngan Chinese New Year just around the corner. In fact, I think I deserve at least a two week long break pasnih...which I probably will take sebab leave aku banyak agik. But today ada program sikit. Pas abih keja kena lak gegas ke Astro. Sebab ada rakaman Macam Macam Aznil yang akankeluar musim baru kat Astro Prima (hah...da pindah rumah....used to be Astro Ria tapi skang Astro Prima sebab meka konon nak rebranding channel) Anyways got there in the rain at the same time as Rudy from Harian Metro. Meanwhile, si Syazwan (bila ko nak ada blog....) dan Marliah from Kosmo! da ada, as well as Farihad dan si Zul Husni from Berita Harian pun da sampai. Al-kisahnya, Aznil veing the sweet thing that he is, wat rakaman special episode bersama media. So apa artis kena dera, wartawan pun kena. Had a light dinner kat cafeteria before proceeded to the studio. Cabut undi, tengok tengok si Zul dan Syazwan kena the wheel of racun gituh. Aku dan Farihad kena segmen kedua for acara ikut silat (don't ask..kena tengok kot baru paham...keji sangat aku ni) And then last but not least si Marliah dan Rudy (sesuaiii!!) kena erm...tiru gaya ballerina. Memang pecah perot la. It was a laugh fest the whole night. Kak Aina, producer Macam Macam Aznil (love you kak Aina!) dan Norizan (abih ko anak ko ikut aku kang main tindik tindik dan tattoo) pun provided the light hearted entertainment ngan tompang gosip semalaman. Tapi ni ada soalan trivia sikit. On the left is Marliah from Kosmo! Teka la rupa dia cam siapa? Ni masa we were all changing (not me la meka je) tuk program Aznil dalam werdrobe area (kenapa I sense evil giruh). Yang pentingnya this has been marliah's look of late sejak dia potong rambut dia...kalao dulu panjang.... We noticed this some time back but cuma now je aku kesempatan nak amik pic (tu pun kena marah ngan dia satu round dulu sebab tau je aku nak carut dia kat blog). Yeap...hasilnya, kalao korang penah tengok kartun Scooby Doo, you'd recognise Marliah as... Velma Dinkley! Aduh...anyway...finished the programme jer, we headed back to the cafeteria for another drink, and this time, with Aznil, join for one more round of gossip. Kesian tau, sepanjang rakaman Macam Macam Aznil, takde sora lak mamat tuh. Back to back siot berapa belas episod....mana tak ilang nya suara. Tapi time da abih, sorsa come back lak...sentap!!! Tapi my salute ler to Aznil...you are definitely one of the most hardest working individuals in TV and no matter what anyone says, you deserve a round of appplause. Thanks for having us on your show. Anyway....abih je, aku decide nak rush balik...apa agik kalau bukan tuk sambung nak download...then need rest. Ujan ni...mmm..best...zzzZZZ
Siang tadik aku kembali ke Low Yat to get my modem reconfigured. Again redah lautan manusia dan yang berupa manusia just to get it done, which was all of 20 minutes. Tapi jam dan sesak lalulintas sebab jalan tuh nih tutup mengakibatkan perjalanan aku berejam jadi nya. After finished, pop in kat Starbuck KL Plaza for a drink and to snd in som ework via email. Then it was off to a private event. By the time abih da tengah malam, straight away headed home. Mula mula thought of nak singgah kat Planet Hollywood for Ella's Sunday Nite Live, tapi pikir punya pikir....takper la. Anxious nak get home dan make sure everything's hooked up...and it was. Within m inutes je, I was online! Yeah!!!
Spent the remainder of night following my favourite series, Heroes yang baru season one yang selama semingu ni aku dok kumpul.Right now kat US da masuk episode 15 this week Astro lak tak silap aku baru tayang epiode 2 ke masuk 3. I've already caught up with the US punya. Tunggu 15 nih... as I'm blogging. It's one of the best series I've seen in a long time. While a lot of people get caught in Lost, Desperate Housewives, O.C....aku tak penah nak follow siri siri ni because too long winded and all. But Heroes is awesome and aku tetap leh tengok balik episode after episode because there's a lot of details in it that you gradually notice if you observe closely and watch it repeatedly. Ok...aku nak layan sat....more entries soon...
Yes, today I am finally getting connected broadband at home. Sebenarnya I had connection at home since Wednesday, tapi sebab takde masa, I didn't go and get my ADSL modem. Ni ler hasilnya tanak amik streamyx package punya modem yang keji teramat tuh, So today picked up some new toys. Now only did I get my ADSL modem, I picked up a wireless router. Merasalah tengah berak pun leh online (eeewwww....!!!) Also picked up a Microsoft webcam (have plans for that, but no it doesn't involve anything of adult nature) as well as some playthings like a USB vaccum for my laptop. Pening sebab sesak kat Low Yat Plaza. Had a friend belanja belanja makan (thanks noks for the meal...that was sweet of you to pick up the cheque..next time it's on me - we all earn enough!) Dia dan sorang agik member temankan. After we were done, Imah melarikan diri nak kejau free gift kat eventnya. I rushed home before meeting up with Juan later for a drink. Sebenarnya balik nak pasang segalanya, tapi sebab terlampau pandai ingat leh configure modem aku tuh sendiri...amik ko. Zilch! So popped back out again. Looks like I have to pop back into Low Yat again esok. Apapun, just wanted to finish my entry pasal semalam. Hung out until 6am kat lokasi shooting babak terakhir Malaikat Maut. I'll just tell my little story of what went on in pictures that are damn blurry, ok.
Ni lah sekitar lokasi penggambaran babak terakhir Malaikat Maut.
Sherry, Nana dan Que (tak muat lak Awal dalam pic) join the rest dalam doa sebelum aksi ni. Nampak lak crew tengah sibuk preparation terakhir atas keta.
Ni la posisi asal keta pas shot pertama keta diterbalikkan ngan bantuan crane dengan keempat pelakon kat dalam. Pas da scene golek sikit, meka bounce the car further down and reshot another take.
Tiap kali satu scene, kena check equipment to make sure the safety of the cast dan equipment. Tengok mounting camera.
Sekali da angkat ngan crane...abang Bade supervise sendiri ok. Pas da siap, dia take his seat kat director's chair nak see how it looks on camera lak.
Hah...ni la crane gedabak meka pakai. Aiyo...dahler touch up make tu awal. Ni gothic ke...iklan tepong komak. Cantik blusher si Que.
This is midway. Ingat tak curam ek. Ni long shot sikit of the location. Curam ok...dari angle aku amik gambar tak nampak...but it must have been a 30-40 foot drop.
Lagik satu angle nak tunujuk how steep the place is. Ni nampak sikit. Kul 5 pagik, cast da tak larat da...touch up sekali lagik sebelum di basahkan thanks to the lovely and ever so friendly abang abang bomba.
Ni shot terakhir kul 6 pagi. Keta da sampai masuk ke longkang ala sungai tu. Halfway immersed in the water, the cast members kena masuk sekali ok. Yerlah...nak lakon da kena accident...mersalah mandi air longkang kul; 6 pagik...masih ingat ni keja glamer? Bouncing upside down in a car yang thrown over the steep side of the embankment and then end up six hours later dalam longkang.
Gambar aku keji sikit quality for obvious reasons. That I used my beat up mobile phone (sabar...ada replacement nak mai) But kalau korang nak tengok pic yang lebih jelas (termasuk sorang cast member yang honorary - tima kasih Que sebab lobi aku), KLIK SINI untuk tengok pics yang lebih jelas dan high res gituh. Ok...gotta call it a night! Thanks so much to Anita for inviting me... Tayang Unggul rocks!!! And Gaya, luv...mintak mintak ni jangan ler give up making the movies you guys make. Kalau nak commercial je pun no fun. Night all...
Seharian bekerja nak tepati all my deadlines, and then sempat gegas balik ke rumah balik, tukau baju before later in the night headed to McDonalds' yang nak on the way ke Sentul after Hospital Tawakal tuh. Tunggu abang Mus, my photographer sampai...kuar masuk McDonalds nak resist the temptation. Finally couldn't, but settled for an apple pie and corn in a cup. Sampai je nampak ramai ler orang kat set. Aksi malam ni adalah nak feeling golekkan keta ke dalam longkang yang ala ala cam sungai da. Amik ko...berapa kali meka take. Slow motion...jangan ingat dalam pilem golek keta tuh all the way down tuh one take. Tu Hollywood je ok. Sini mangsa keta satu je...so take sekali tuh kena manfaatkan ler sepenuhnya. Tengah take ni aku sempat amik pic ler. Tapi rasanya sebab meka tak sampai separuh jalan mau golekka keta tuh ke dalam sungai, esok je remainder of the pics. Sempat interview abang Bade, and had a nice talk with Gaya (yes, you gurl!) about Puaka Tebing Biru which I didn't find too interesting (you think??!!!) Still sometimes betul gak aku ni overanalyse something, thus rendering the inability to enjoy it kan... Dalam erti kata lain, aku ni jenis kekadang nak nilai sesuatuh tu too much sampai aku tak nampak the big picture ler kan. Which is sometimes what you need to enjoy the pic. Still aku tak tarik balik apa aku cakap pasal banyak kelemahan yang ada dalam Puaka Tebing Biru. Tapi kan...memang aku da kata, and I also stand by what I said, which is Syaitan is quite good, in fact one of the more intelligent movies of the year, despite a few shortcomings. Anyway....had fun ngan abang Bade. He is quite an impressive person. Practical and yet sort of insightful in his own way. I also notice he absorbs what everone has to say like a sponge.... signs of a truely intelligent person. Eh ok ler...sebelum aku berundur, nak kongsi sikit nasihat tuk adik adik yang berangan nak feel star. Eh lain lak terasa kan... Ni tuk meka yang mabuk glamer...oops...lain lak yang terasa lagik. I mean mereka yang rasa glamer ni the best way out of their mundane lives. Damn...I did it again. Ok...let me reword it...pada adik adik yang rasa jalan senang nak berjaya is by acting ke singing ke wat apa saja janji popular, bukan senang dik oi. Nampak je glamer.....ketiak masam (oops), badan berlengas... dok kat lokasi bukan senang tau.

Tengok ler contohnya....ni da tengah masa time aku update, sempat ler aku snap pic Nana yang erm... begitu tekun kerja sambil tunggu production team preparekan keta yang nak meka tunggang terbalikkan. Tak tahan gelak...dalam tidur tersedar lak si Nana, sempat carut aku...pastu libas rambut sekali and then sambung tidur. And we lost her from there to malaikat tidur...ader ker? Sambil dok lepak ramai-ramai....sempat ler sembang sok sek sana sin iabout this and that. I seriously have high hopes for Malaikat Maut, sebab pas cakap ngan abang bade, aku yakin konsep cita ni leh jual. Abang Bade wat style Twilight Zone, ngan tiga citer yang lain, tapi ngan basic underlying aim tu sama. To kind of display mortality...yang kita ni sebagai manusia, leh dipanggil bebila. Really simple, but interesting premise as far as I can tell. While we were chatting...distracted sat because there was this cutest kitten tidur kat bawah kerusi abang Bade. Sempat lak iklan katanya nak tunjuk pic kitty ni yang memang comel, curled up in the cold. Cam Nana lak...merasalah aku kena carut agik ngan Nana pasni. Ampun dearie...you know aku sayang ko. I really would love to update panjang lagi, tapi battery da low (akibat biarkan laptop on nak download abih Heroes sebab leh tompang unsecured network kat sini)...so esok jer lah aku upload more pics. Setakat ni yang mampu aku transfer and upload this pics of cast yang terlibat. Ni last shooting sebelum nak wrap. Ni for the third story. Terlibat include, Nana, Awal, Que dan Sherry. The last scene meka nak shoot ni, aksi konon nya bulan Ramadhan yang mulia ni feeling party, last last mabuk dan sebagainya, keta yang di bak tergolek masuk longkang (yang aku tetap maintain cam sungai). Time aku tulis ni meka still setting up cameras (dua bijik melekat kat keta) one on the bonnet, one attached to the back window...and one more static if I'm not mistaken. Eh...ok ler..enjoy these pics first. Kang aku update esok. Ni pun entah sampai kol brapa ni....
Note : Kalau nak tengok pics dari orang yang balik awal - CLICK HERE untuk blog Budiey.
Pics masing masing tengah make-up. Si Awal nakutkan tul muka dia. Bebudak ni kisahnya ala ala gothic ler. Si Nana tu baru nak feeling manicure...merasalah time nak start shoot baru nak cat kuku katanya. Anyway...pic ni diamik sebelom dia membuta kejap. as in the earlier picture.
Arini nak review sikit Puaka Tebing Biru. It was long, it was draggy, they didn't seem to have a clue how to edit it, and the horrific thing yang Umie Aida becomes, resembles Jim Carrey from The Mask, except with a fteish for toes. Eeeeewww!!! Entahlah...seriously I did put a lot of expectation in Osman Ali's work sebab aku tau hasil kerja dia. But I suppose sebab ni first full length feature film dia so ok ler....aku nak kriitik pepanjang...rasa tak adil lak. Sebab walaupun aku rasa lemau sikit (banyak actually kecuali cinematography jer ok), tapi ada colleague aku si Aqidah kata dia tiga ari tiga malam mengigil takut nak berak kencing dan sebagainya sebab teringat pilem tu (of course she is alos prone to exaggeration) So instead of a direct review as promised, aku akan go on my famous lists of why you should watch and why you shouldnt watch the movie. Remember this is not a comprehensive list. Pepandai ler korang tengok sendiri dan nilaikan.
10 Why you SHOULDN'T watch Puaka Tebing Biru 1. Kalau ko pernah tonton Nang Nak - too many resemblances, except Nang Nak was good. In other words... no originality. Even hantu dia pun ala ala Ju On meets Nang Nak and a touch of The Ring. 2. Plot banyak lobang - cam si Umie punya character. Nama kawan baik tapi scare Nasha punya character half to death...pastu bila jumpa hanya bagitau Nasha minta restu ibu dia....er....wasn't she going to do that before you scared the shit out of her. Korang tengok paham ler. 3. Character development zero. Ko tak rasa persahabatan antara Umi dan Nasha (art imitates life ke?) Character Fahrin lak cam beriyaelak kawin tetiba love sampai mati katanya. Keji....suka ati jer tuko jalan cita 4. Continuity dan realism takde langsung. Dok apartment mewah ala penthouse gitu, tapi ada loteng beratap zink, Jalan nak balik ke rumah Nasha yang ala ala KL Sentral lak ikut jalan utan ala Kenny Hills (memang Kenny Hills pun kata Gaya). And shall we mention laptop sponsor yang di pakai Nasha hanya nak taip se ayat dua yang takyah caj berapa lama pun leh tahan battery dia? 5. Costume direction cam $%^&*. Rumah usang nak mampos bertahun tinggalkan tapi perkakas semua lengkap ok! Amik ko...make up effects failed big time sebab nampak cam Halloween lak. And I mean Toys R' Us punya Halloween ok. 6. Apa watak si Corinne Adrienne tuh? No character developement tapi nak banyakkan watak nak complicate kan lak. In that vein...there were unnecessary characters that took too much space, and could have been used for more development. By the way, she is the worst in the movie, as her acting is as good as watching a stationary object. About the same quotient of emotion. 7. Trying to be too artsy at the wrong time. Most of the scenes were well shot and would have made for a nice coffee table book...but they didn't contribute to the movie. 8. Someone forgot to edit it! Filem tu bertahan selama 2 jam dan 7 minit. Itupun aku dengar meka da potong 40 minit. Keji ok....ko ingat epik??? Then treat it like one ler... 9. Pretencious. Makes you think kononnya, but in more ways than one, it was a n-brainer. In fact if you actually thought about it, you would have laughed your head off. 10. If you're looking for a horror...this is not it. Hardly in fact. Too much drama...too little horror.
10 reasons why you SHOULD watch Puaka Tebing Biru 1. If you like watching Fahrin topless and bathing in what almost seems like slow motion but isn't. A tad too cheesy and semi-porno for me. (in other words, if you like men) 2. If you like watching women hug and tough each other in what seems seriously lesbian (rasanya tu ler tujuan meka wujudkan watak Corinne yang muncul tetiba) (in other words if you like women) 3. If you like watching Fahrin getting jiggy with Umie Aida (if you like straight relationships) 4. If you have a fetish for toes (yuck! though I know some wouldn't mind biting at Fahrin's toes) 5. If you don't really care about logic. 6. Small dirty kids terrify you, as do dirty unashed and unkempt women who seem to place a lot of emphasis on hair care. (your money's worth la masa tuh) 7. If you like Jim Carrey masa dia berlakon The Mask. She looks more or less like that....except I think The Mask was more scary. 8. Kalau selama ni ko ingin bercuti ke Pulau Pangkor dan tak kesempatan tapi sanggup bergembira ngan pemandangan yang ditunjukkan. 9. If you love Nasha Aziz and Sharifah Amani (and a little bit of Fahrin) like I do. By the way, tuk aku, Nasha dan Wan Maimunah paling meletop dalam filem ni. Yang lain average to bloody papan. 10. If you have RM10 to spare, and you really want to do something to support the Malaysian film industry.
Ok so the reasons weren't all that great...but then again neither was the movie overall. I would say it's a waste of money to even watch....and yes, kalau ada sapa nak carut "but you don't pay", I do, because kalau aku suka movie tuh, aku akan tengok sekali lagik or more depending on how much I like it where Iwill pay for the ticket to support it. But don't take my word for it...tengok la kalao nak gamble korang on whether you guys will like it or not. Apapun...poster lebih menakutkan daripada the actual film...pada meka yang kecut sikit tengok fiem horror...dan cepat pengsan dan melatah....this is the movie for you. Too mild for me. Just a little bit of extra info pada yang nak tau, here's the credit and cast list untuk Puaka Tebing Biru.

Apapun, I'd like to thank Gaya (ampun mencarut), Anita (love you babe...) and the rest of the Tayangan Unggul family for the invitation and the opportunity to blog. Walaupun mencarut, aku harap ni diterima sebagai kritikan yang honest as honest can be ya. Apapun, am looking forward to Osman's next movie hoping it'll be better. Apapun sebelum kita end entry ni, aku ada a little trivia untuk korang. Tengok gambar kat bawah. Yang mana satu Umie Aida dalam Puaka Tebing Biru. That's easy isn't it...the one wearing poster colour and a bad wig....sheesh! I think Jim Carrey seriously lebih menakutkan.

Music is beautiful, no matter what language it is in. It transcends the boundaries of race, religion, and even that of a geographical nature. Here's my list of songs from Indonesian pop and rock acts that are on my playlist, some of which are my all time favorites. Some old, some new and some just bloody timeless. Enjoy the sounds and listen beyond the music and the words - and instead tune into the emotions of each tune. No matter what genre they may be.
Say NO! to the hateful and malicious nature of some who choose to close our local music market for fear of competition simply because they are unable to compete, and unwilling to even try.
Support Malaysian music. Don't kill it by being ignorant. Music is ever evolving, and our local sound is slowing being rendered irrelevant. This is my protest against those who choose to be anti-Indonesian music, simply because SOME of our local talents and recording outfits are too lazy to innovate and create. This is the sound of Indonesia today. Are we up for the challenge to evolve and produce better music in healthy competition?
WHAT I'M ON
KLUBBKIDD
So...just what do you want to know about me?
I'm simple, and yet complicated.
It's as simple as that...but then again, perhaps not.
My life is kinda like my job, an oxymoron. Try this one out for size...'ethical journalist'. See, told you so.
Anyway, here's a brief (yeah right!) intro to my life.
I'm a proud Malaysian (and I mean literally!), of Chinese descent. I'm Christian (Roman Catholic!).
I'm kinda whacked. I believe in piercings, dyed hair, black nails, silver studs. leather and spiked accessories and oh... tattoos...body art is just that...art. Apart from anything else that will make me worth staring at.
Right now, I have a total of seven piercings (three on lobes - two left one right, left ear cartilage, nose, lower lip and tongue) with three taken out on brow (one ripped) as well as three tattoos with more to come.
Forget the tough exterior, cause I believe in hugging my parents, crying when I feel like it, require tender moments with my significant other, and I appreciate my friends. As Kim from America's Next Top Model said it best. "What's my secret? I may look tough on the outside, but really, I scream like a girl!"
Fictional?
I 32 as of last July 17, and it's past the mid life crisis come early for me as I struggled to deal with the coming of age thing. I am working as a freelance senior entertainment journalist, a job which I have been at ever since I decided to quit college, two subjects short of graduating. I was taking my Diploma In Sound and Audio Engineering. Until recently that is.
Now I do a lot of freelance overall talent consultancy which includes image and communication. I am also in the process of starting my own company klubbkidd Sdn Bhd, which is producing its first TV show from a format that I have created myself. The show will most likely be on air sometime end 2008.
I have donelive sound production for some concerts and shows and a little bit of studio work in hopes of becoming a sound engineer with what I've studies, when I turned back to my first love, writing.
Was doing general news, specialized awhile in politics, did a little features, crime, business and sports and dabbled in related journalism fields before finally settling into my current position, thankfully, entertainment, the perks of which is doing what I've always loved (writing and indulging in music) and also backstage passes to meet my favorite acts. It's eleven years now, and I'm still golding it there.
Looking back - whatever's gone on in my life - it's not too hard to be positive and look ahead, with more pleasant of the memories to make the journey a little easier.
And these very memories which I cherish so, are the reasons behind why I started blogging.
The friendships and variety of relationships I've been through, allow me to highlight the mistakes I've made and how not to repeat them, not to compromise my principles too much for love, and also a balance in sacrificing my ego, and how I must learn to be stronger in the face of adversity.
So I've never figured myself to be a real hoot.I pace on day by day, occasionally skipping, sometimes with just a little jaunty bounce. More often than not, I go smack! either on my rear end (which needs more meat) or flat on my face.Life treats me well, I suppose, so I shouldn't gripe. I am stll my own hero - that's positivity through self-affirmation for you.
