Ari ni banyak kerja, as Monday always is. Depresssing really sebab hati nak cuti sangat ni ngan Chinese New Year just around the corner. In fact, I think I deserve at least a two week long break pasnih...which I probably will take sebab leave aku banyak agik.
But today ada program sikit. Pas abih keja kena lak gegas ke Astro. Sebab ada rakaman Macam Macam Aznil yang akankeluar musim baru kat Astro Prima (hah...da pindah rumah....used to be Astro Ria tapi skang Astro Prima sebab meka konon nak rebranding channel)
Anyways got there in the rain at the same time as Rudy from Harian Metro. Meanwhile, si Syazwan (bila ko nak ada blog....) dan Marliah from Kosmo! da ada, as well as Farihad dan si Zul Husni from Berita Harian pun da sampai.
Al-kisahnya, Aznil veing the sweet thing that he is, wat rakaman special episode bersama media.
So apa artis kena dera, wartawan pun kena. Had a light dinner kat cafeteria before proceeded to the studio. Cabut undi, tengok tengok si Zul dan Syazwan kena the wheel of racun gituh. Aku dan Farihad kena segmen kedua for acara ikut silat (don't ask..kena tengok kot baru paham...keji sangat aku ni)
And then last but not least si Marliah dan Rudy (sesuaiii!!) kena erm...tiru gaya ballerina. Memang pecah perot la. It was a laugh fest the whole night.
Kak Aina, producer Macam Macam Aznil (love you kak Aina!) dan Norizan (abih ko anak ko ikut aku kang main tindik tindik dan tattoo) pun provided the light hearted entertainment ngan tompang gosip semalaman.
Tapi ni ada soalan trivia sikit. On the left is Marliah from Kosmo!
Teka la rupa dia cam siapa?
Ni masa we were all changing (not me la meka je) tuk program Aznil dalam werdrobe area (kenapa I sense evil giruh).
Yang pentingnya this has been marliah's look of late sejak dia potong rambut dia...kalao dulu panjang....
We noticed this some time back but cuma now je aku kesempatan nak amik pic (tu pun kena marah ngan dia satu round dulu sebab tau je aku nak carut dia kat blog).
Yeap...hasilnya, kalao korang penah tengok kartun Scooby Doo, you'd recognise Marliah as... Velma Dinkley!
Pesen je kena ubah sikit Marliah. Rambut, specs dan kasut da sama. Skang pakai pullover dan skirt ala cheerleader dan stoking yang matching orange je.
Merasalah harajuku....bukan carut ek gurl..;. comel per...
Daripada ada yang kecoh tuh, muka cam Scooby Doo itself, camna?
Aduh...anyway...finished the programme jer, we headed back to the cafeteria for another drink, and this time, with Aznil, join for one more round of gossip.
Kesian tau, sepanjang rakaman Macam Macam Aznil, takde sora lak mamat tuh.
Back to back siot berapa belas episod....mana tak ilang nya suara. Tapi time da abih, sorsa come back lak...sentap!!!
Tapi my salute ler to Aznil...you are definitely one of the most hardest working individuals in TV and no matter what anyone says, you deserve a round of appplause. Thanks for having us on your show.
Anyway....abih je, aku decide nak rush balik...apa agik kalau bukan tuk sambung nak download...then need rest. Ujan ni...mmm..best...zzzZZZ

Siang tadik aku kembali ke Low Yat to get my modem reconfigured.
Again redah lautan manusia dan yang berupa manusia just to get it done, which was all of 20 minutes. Tapi jam dan sesak lalulintas sebab jalan tuh nih tutup mengakibatkan perjalanan aku berejam jadi nya.
After finished, pop in kat Starbuck KL Plaza for a drink and to snd in som ework via email.
Then it was off to a private event. By the time abih da tengah malam, straight away headed home. Mula mula thought of nak singgah kat Planet Hollywood for Ella's Sunday Nite Live, tapi pikir punya pikir....takper la.
Anxious nak get home dan make sure everything's hooked up...and it was. Within m inutes je, I was online! Yeah!!!

Spent the remainder of night following my favourite series, Heroes yang baru season one yang selama semingu ni aku dok kumpul.Right now kat US da masuk episode 15 this week
Astro lak tak silap aku baru tayang epiode 2 ke masuk 3. I've already caught up with the US punya. Tunggu 15 nih... as I'm blogging.
It's one of the best series I've seen in a long time. While a lot of people get caught in Lost, Desperate Housewives, O.C....aku tak penah nak follow siri siri ni because too long winded and all.
But Heroes is awesome and aku tetap leh tengok balik episode after episode because there's a lot of details in it that you gradually notice if you observe closely and watch it repeatedly. Ok...aku nak layan sat....more entries soon...

Yes, today I am finally getting connected broadband at home. Sebenarnya I had connection at home since Wednesday, tapi sebab takde masa, I didn't go and get my ADSL modem.
Ni ler hasilnya tanak amik streamyx package punya modem yang keji teramat tuh,
So today picked up some new toys. Now only did I get my ADSL modem, I picked up a wireless router. Merasalah tengah berak pun leh online (eeewwww....!!!)
Also picked up a Microsoft webcam (have plans for that, but no it doesn't involve anything of adult nature) as well as some playthings like a USB vaccum for my laptop.
Pening sebab sesak kat Low Yat Plaza.
Had a friend belanja belanja makan (thanks noks for the meal...that was sweet of you to pick up the cheque..next time it's on me - we all earn enough!) Dia dan sorang agik member temankan.
After we were done, Imah melarikan diri nak kejau free gift kat eventnya.
I rushed home before meeting up with Juan later for a drink. Sebenarnya balik nak pasang segalanya, tapi sebab terlampau pandai ingat leh configure modem aku tuh sendiri...amik ko. Zilch!
So popped back out again. Looks like I have to pop back into Low Yat again esok.
Apapun, just wanted to finish my entry pasal semalam.
Hung out until 6am kat lokasi shooting babak terakhir Malaikat Maut. I'll just tell my little story of what went on in pictures that are damn blurry, ok.

Ni lah sekitar lokasi penggambaran babak terakhir Malaikat Maut.
  Sherry, Nana dan Que (tak muat lak Awal dalam pic) join the rest dalam doa sebelum aksi ni. Nampak lak crew tengah sibuk preparation terakhir atas keta.
  Ni la posisi asal keta pas shot pertama keta diterbalikkan ngan bantuan crane dengan keempat pelakon kat dalam. Pas da scene golek sikit, meka bounce the car further down and reshot another take.
    Tiap kali satu scene, kena check equipment to make sure the safety of the cast dan equipment. Tengok mounting camera.
   Sekali da angkat ngan crane...abang Bade supervise sendiri ok. Pas da siap, dia take his seat kat director's chair nak see how it looks on camera lak.
  Hah...ni la crane gedabak meka pakai. Aiyo...dahler touch up make tu awal. Ni gothic ke...iklan tepong komak. Cantik blusher si Que.
  This is midway. Ingat tak curam ek. Ni long shot sikit of the location. Curam ok...dari angle aku amik gambar tak nampak...but it must have been a 30-40 foot drop.
  Lagik satu angle nak tunujuk how steep the place is. Ni nampak sikit. Kul 5 pagik, cast da tak larat da...touch up sekali lagik sebelum di basahkan thanks to the lovely and ever so friendly abang abang bomba.
  Ni shot terakhir kul 6 pagi. Keta da sampai masuk ke longkang ala sungai tu. Halfway immersed in the water, the cast members kena masuk sekali ok. Yerlah...nak lakon da kena accident...mersalah mandi air longkang kul; 6 pagik...masih ingat ni keja glamer? Bouncing upside down in a car yang thrown over the steep side of the embankment and then end up six hours later dalam longkang.

Gambar aku keji sikit quality for obvious reasons. That I used my beat up mobile phone (sabar...ada replacement nak mai) But kalau korang nak tengok pic yang lebih jelas (termasuk sorang cast member yang honorary - tima kasih Que sebab lobi aku), KLIK SINI untuk tengok pics yang lebih jelas dan high res gituh.

Night all...

Seharian bekerja nak tepati all my deadlines, and then sempat gegas balik ke rumah balik, tukau baju before later in the night headed to McDonalds' yang nak on the way ke Sentul after Hospital Tawakal tuh.
Tunggu abang Mus, my photographer sampai...kuar masuk McDonalds nak resist the temptation. Finally couldn't, but settled  for an apple pie and corn in a cup.
Sampai je nampak ramai ler orang kat set.
Aksi malam ni adalah nak feeling golekkan keta ke dalam longkang yang ala ala cam sungai da.
Amik ko...berapa kali meka take. Slow motion...jangan ingat dalam pilem golek keta tuh all the way down tuh one take.
Tu Hollywood je ok. Sini mangsa keta satu je...so take sekali tuh kena manfaatkan ler sepenuhnya.
Tengah take ni aku sempat amik pic ler. Tapi rasanya sebab meka tak sampai separuh jalan mau golekka keta tuh ke dalam sungai, esok je remainder of the pics.
Sempat interview abang Bade, and had a nice talk with Gaya (yes, you gurl!) about Puaka Tebing Biru which I didn't find too interesting (you think??!!!)
Still sometimes betul gak aku ni overanalyse something, thus rendering the inability to enjoy it kan...
Dalam erti kata lain, aku ni jenis kekadang nak nilai sesuatuh tu too much sampai aku tak nampak the big  picture ler kan. Which is sometimes what you need to enjoy the pic.
Still aku tak tarik balik apa aku cakap pasal banyak kelemahan yang ada dalam Puaka Tebing Biru. Tapi kan...memang aku da kata, and I also stand by what I said, which is Syaitan is quite good, in fact one of the more intelligent movies of the year, despite a few shortcomings.
Anyway....had fun ngan abang Bade.
He is quite an impressive person.
Practical and yet sort of insightful in his own way. I also notice he absorbs what everone has to say like a sponge.... signs of a truely intelligent person.
Eh ok ler...sebelum aku berundur, nak kongsi sikit nasihat tuk adik adik yang berangan nak feel star. Eh lain lak terasa kan...
Ni tuk meka yang mabuk glamer...oops...lain lak yang terasa lagik.
I mean mereka yang rasa glamer ni the best way out of their mundane lives. Damn...I did it again.
Ok...let me reword it...pada adik adik yang rasa jalan senang nak berjaya is by acting ke singing ke wat apa saja janji popular, bukan senang dik oi.
Nampak je glamer.....ketiak masam (oops), badan berlengas... dok kat lokasi bukan senang tau.

Tengok ler contohnya....ni da tengah masa time aku update, sempat ler aku snap pic Nana yang erm... begitu tekun kerja sambil tunggu production team preparekan keta yang nak meka tunggang terbalikkan.
Tak tahan gelak...dalam tidur tersedar lak si Nana, sempat carut aku...pastu libas rambut sekali and then sambung tidur. And we lost her from there to malaikat tidur...ader ker?
Sambil dok lepak ramai-ramai....sempat ler sembang sok sek sana sin iabout this and that. I seriously have high hopes for Malaikat Maut, sebab pas cakap ngan abang bade, aku yakin konsep cita ni leh jual.
Abang Bade wat style Twilight Zone, ngan tiga citer yang lain, tapi ngan basic underlying aim tu sama.
To kind of display mortality...yang kita ni sebagai manusia, leh dipanggil bebila. Really simple, but interesting premise as far as I can tell.
While we were chatting...distracted sat because there was this cutest kitten tidur kat bawah kerusi abang Bade.
Sempat lak iklan katanya nak tunjuk pic kitty ni yang memang comel, curled up in the cold. Cam Nana lak...merasalah aku kena carut agik ngan Nana pasni. Ampun dearie...you know aku sayang ko.
I really would love to update panjang lagi, tapi battery da low (akibat biarkan laptop on nak download abih Heroes sebab leh tompang unsecured network kat sini)...so esok jer lah aku upload more pics.
Setakat ni yang mampu aku transfer and upload  this pics of cast yang terlibat. Ni last shooting sebelum nak wrap. Ni for the third story. Terlibat include, Nana, Awal, Que dan Sherry.
The last scene meka nak shoot ni, aksi konon nya bulan Ramadhan yang mulia ni feeling party, last last mabuk dan sebagainya, keta yang di bak tergolek masuk longkang (yang aku tetap maintain cam sungai).
Time aku tulis ni meka still setting up cameras (dua bijik melekat kat keta) one on the bonnet, one attached to the back window...and one more static if I'm not mistaken.
Eh...ok ler..enjoy these pics first. Kang aku update esok. Ni pun entah sampai kol brapa ni....

Arini nak review sikit Puaka Tebing Biru.
It was long, it was draggy, they didn't seem to have a clue how to edit it, and the horrific thing yang Umie Aida becomes, resembles Jim Carrey from The Mask, except with a fteish for toes. Eeeeewww!!!
Entahlah...seriously I did put a lot of expectation in Osman Ali's work sebab aku tau hasil kerja dia. But I suppose sebab ni first full length feature film dia so ok ler....aku nak kriitik pepanjang...rasa tak adil lak.
Sebab walaupun aku rasa lemau sikit (banyak actually kecuali cinematography jer ok), tapi ada colleague aku si Aqidah kata dia tiga ari tiga malam mengigil takut nak berak kencing dan sebagainya sebab teringat pilem tu (of course she is alos prone to exaggeration)
So instead of a direct review as promised, aku akan go on my famous lists of why you should watch and why you shouldnt watch the movie.
Remember this is not a comprehensive list. Pepandai ler korang tengok sendiri dan nilaikan.

10 Why you SHOULDN'T watch Puaka Tebing Biru
1. Kalau ko pernah tonton Nang Nak - too many resemblances, except Nang Nak was good. In other words... no originality. Even hantu dia pun ala ala Ju On meets Nang Nak and a touch of The Ring.
2. Plot banyak lobang - cam si Umie punya character. Nama kawan baik tapi scare Nasha punya character half to death...pastu bila jumpa hanya bagitau Nasha minta restu ibu dia....er....wasn't she going to do that before you scared the shit out of her. Korang tengok paham ler.
3. Character development zero. Ko tak rasa persahabatan antara Umi dan Nasha (art imitates life ke?) Character Fahrin lak cam beriyaelak kawin tetiba love sampai mati katanya. Keji....suka ati jer tuko jalan cita
4. Continuity  dan realism takde langsung. Dok apartment mewah ala penthouse gitu, tapi ada loteng beratap zink, Jalan nak balik ke rumah Nasha yang ala ala KL Sentral lak ikut jalan utan ala Kenny Hills (memang Kenny Hills pun kata Gaya). And shall we mention laptop sponsor yang di pakai Nasha hanya nak taip se ayat dua yang takyah caj berapa lama pun leh tahan battery dia?
5. Costume direction cam $%^&*. Rumah usang nak mampos bertahun tinggalkan tapi perkakas semua lengkap ok! Amik ko...make up effects failed big time sebab nampak cam Halloween lak. And I mean Toys R' Us punya Halloween ok.
6. Apa watak si Corinne Adrienne tuh? No character developement tapi nak banyakkan watak nak complicate kan lak. In that vein...there were unnecessary characters that took too much space, and could have been used for more development. By the way, she is the worst in the movie, as her acting is as good as watching a stationary object. About the same quotient of emotion.
7. Trying to be too artsy at the wrong time. Most of the scenes were well shot and would have made for a nice coffee table book...but they didn't contribute to the movie.
8. Someone forgot to edit it! Filem tu bertahan selama 2 jam dan 7 minit. Itupun aku dengar meka da potong 40 minit. Keji ok....ko ingat epik??? Then treat it like one ler...
9. Pretencious. Makes you think kononnya, but in more ways than one, it was a n-brainer. In fact if you actually thought about it, you would have laughed your head off.
10. If you're looking for a horror...this is not it. Hardly in fact. Too much drama...too little horror.


10 reasons why you SHOULD watch Puaka Tebing Biru
1. If you like watching Fahrin topless and bathing in what almost seems like slow motion but isn't. A tad too cheesy and semi-porno for me. (in other words, if you like men)
2. If you like watching women hug and tough each other in what seems seriously lesbian (rasanya tu ler tujuan meka wujudkan watak Corinne yang muncul tetiba) (in other words if you like women)
3. If you like watching Fahrin getting jiggy with Umie Aida (if you like straight relationships)
4. If you have a fetish for toes (yuck! though I know some wouldn't mind biting at Fahrin's toes)
5. If you don't really care about logic.
6. Small dirty kids terrify you, as do dirty unashed and unkempt women who seem to place a lot of emphasis on hair care. (your money's worth la masa tuh)
7. If you like  Jim Carrey masa dia berlakon The Mask. She looks more or less like that....except I think The Mask was more scary.
8. Kalau selama ni ko ingin bercuti ke Pulau Pangkor dan tak kesempatan tapi sanggup bergembira ngan pemandangan yang ditunjukkan.
9. If you love Nasha Aziz and Sharifah Amani (and a little bit of Fahrin) like I do. By the way, tuk aku, Nasha dan Wan Maimunah paling meletop dalam filem ni. Yang lain average to bloody papan.
10. If you have RM10 to spare, and you really want to do something to support the Malaysian film industry.

Ok so the reasons weren't all that great...but then again neither was the movie overall. I would say it's a waste of money to even watch....and yes, kalau ada sapa nak carut "but you don't pay", I do, because kalau aku suka movie tuh, aku akan tengok sekali lagik or more depending on how much I like it where Iwill pay for the ticket to support it.
But don't take my word for it...tengok la kalao nak gamble korang on whether you guys will like it or not.
Apapun...poster lebih menakutkan daripada the actual film...pada meka yang kecut sikit tengok fiem horror...dan cepat pengsan dan melatah....this is the movie for you. Too mild for me.

Baru abih event, kat Starbucks tengah send story, sambil hantar tuh update ler pasal semalam punya event preview PuakaTebing Biru.
It was fun, tapi korang nak aku review, tunggu ler dulu ek. Sebab tak gemar sangat sebenarnya. But it wasn't as good as I hoped, though still kira ok gak ler.
The best part was meeting kak Nasha (lama tak jumpa kakak aku nih!) and Nani with kak Fati.
Ah...kalau korang nak tau, memang bab gossip kata Nani nak kena botak by Yasmin Ahmad, memang betul. Tapi lum agik ler.
Kang kalao dia botak kang, aku post kan pics dia tengah dibotakkan ala Mawi. Cadang pakai pisau nombor dua tuh...takder ler licin, tapi kira GI Jane Demi Moore punya style ler.
Esok aku review ek pilem tuh tuk korang nilaikan lak. But pandangan aku ler...tatau ler korang stuju ke tak kang korang tengok. Filem tuh bukak kat panggung tak silap aku 18 Febuari, so banyak ler time agik nak update bab tuh.
For today, aku focus pics dulu ek.Ramai lak kawan kawan yang hadir. Seronok lak.
Hah...sapa yang belajar UiTM Shah Alam, mai aku perkenalkan dua orang dalam pic belah kiri ni. Dak Mass Comm.
Yang pakai tudung tuh Aqidah, stringer untuk The Malay Mail. Yang sebelah dia tuh balak dia si Ifwan, penah practical ngan The Malay Mail, skang ngan Berita Harian...dak freshie...leh ragging.
Hah...tatau ler lampu tutup tu gatal ke tak...jangan Kid...aku dok belakang ko ni (warning dulu tau!)
Anyway masa nak start tayangan Puaka Tebing Biru ni...amik ko. Entah pontianak ke kuntilanak enam ekor ni siap catwalk dan kemudian feeling nari sana sini.  Drama sangat!
Aiyak....tak scary...cuma kelakar. I think they didn't need such an intro la.
Tapi yang besh dengar cita Syazwan tadi. One of the dak yang jadi antu tuh, masa start pilem, dok sebelah dia sebab tau Syazwan horror sikit.
Hah! Amik ko...padahal...sebelum tuh...dia yang beriya kata orang istimewa dia tak datang sebab benci cita antu dan kecut bab nak horror film ni. Hah...huum karma kena balik!!! (gelak evil ni!)
And then, the other incident lak, si Syed (manager Erra Fazira) dok sebelah aku. Cita ni slow sangat sampai tahap tak sampai setengah jam, si Syed leh...TERTIDUR!
And if that wasn't bad enough, siap DENGKUR (ampun Web sebab kutuk ko, tapi aku da kata aku akan ngumpat kat blog kan!)
Aku kejutkan dia....tak sampai 30 saat da tertidur complete ngan dengkur again. Berapa kali aku kena kejutkan dia...last last dia kuar sat (konon nak amik angin) and then ilang terus. Jumpa dia pun pas movie abih kat luar panggung. Keji tau!
Anyway, pas abih movie...sempat ler catch up ngan Nasha and kak Fati ngan Nani agik sambung ngumpat.
Kak Fati and Nani janji call aku kang nak botakkan rambut si Nani. Tak sabar sabar aku lak...ni some of the poses for my camera yang meka sempat. Sempat amik pic Umie...yang pegang co-lead punya role opposite Nasha and Fahrin, tapi tak sempat amik pic Erra yang datang bagik sokongan moral kat Umie sebab aku sibuk ngumpat pasal the movie sangat.
Oh by the way...pada meka yang suka gossip...si Linda Onn pun ada tau bagi sokongan moral kat Fahrin. Kawan ek...no komen.
Tengok pic bawah..Linda nak sembunyi konon. Keji kan...sorry ek Linda ngumpat. I love you babe!!! Saja nak ngumpat. Tak de gossip tak best kan...lagik pun, kan ko kata 'just friends je'..(matilah aku kena hamun ngan Linda pasni - ampun sayang!!!)

Umie beriya on the phone ni. Pot pet ngan sapa lak pun tatau. Kak Fati sempat posing cute tuk aku. My big sister Nasha and Nani wat muka seposen tayang rambut dia yang akan takde tak lama lagik.

Now moving on to today,  sampai je kat JW Marriot, tunggu ler kat lobby. Minah Star World yang janji nak jemput ke Presidential Suite tak muncul muncul. Then Syazwan Kosmo! muncul, and then Emma dari HAI!
Last last si Syazwan call sana call sini, mamat Star World sorang ni lak turun jemput. Seb baik lum start. Sempat ler discuss ngan semua yang hadir tuk Puaka Tebing Biru.
Everyone agreed on the same stuff, which was basically it was bad character developement, bad editing...among others.
Cuma yang leh dipuji cinematography and a commendable effort for art direction. Eh..ter review lak...kang ada yang tak dapat cari makan.
Anyways....tunggu punya tunggu (takde ler lama sangat) Siti muncul pas abih interview (dengar ngan Kompas Indonesia dan New paper dan Berita Harian dari Singapore)
Anyways...kalao korang nak tau, ingat ek. Make a date.
Siti kan akan hadir Grammy awards sebab menang dua tiket kat Breakfast with the Stars tahun lepas. So dia bukan je akan hadir event tuh, sekali ngan jalan red carpet...Siti akan menghadiri post party yang di anjurkan Sony BMG kat sana.
Kalau nak tengok tengok Siti muncui, don't forget theThe 49th Annual Grammy Awards airs live on Monday, 12 Feb at 9am ngan repeat prime time special on the same day at 8pm on Star World.
Perjalanan Siti dari airport, to the red carpet, to an exclusive post-party hosted by recording label Sony BMG, akan dirakam dan ditayangkan kat Channel [V]'s Popparazzi on Thursday, 22 and 26 Feb at 6pm.

Wow...gila babs punya letih ari ni. The work has been piling up. So malas sikit nak update.
Kejap lagik pas abih kerja, nak gegas ke MidValley Megamall untuk malam gala Puaka Tebing Biru. I have high expectations for the movie because am familiar ngan hasil kerja Osman Ali.
Aku kenal Osman dari pertengahan 90an sebab aku melibatkan diri dengan kerja sukarela dengan sebuah NGO. And I'm impressed with the way he thinks and how he perceives certain things.
So besh gila la nak tengok how Puaka Tebing Biru will turn out.
Lepak kat Starbucks ni nak send in a story, sambil update blog (dan download saki baki siri Heroes melalui P2P) sambil tunggu start event.
Teringat lak...alamak! Lupa bak kuar belt nak pulangkan kat Mawi. Mak aih...heh...jangan...aku tanak wat harta. Kang pulangkan lak. Janji aku da opening ceremony ek, botak belt D&G ko (merasalah kena carut dia tanak pakai sebab da repeat performance time tuh)
Sambil tengah rajin wat keja ni, si Khai lalu. Dia dulu acting head of Malay programming, and skang in charge of Astro Prima. Sempat ler bual sementara sebelum kembali habiskan kerja.
Tengah taip ngan gigih ni, ada sorang pompuan singgah kat meja aku. Tried speaking to me in Cantonese and Mandarin, both of which aku memang gagal. Yerlah...dari dulu kena perli Cina murtad...bahasa ibunda sendiri pun tatau konon.
Hakikatnya, Chinese ni banyak dialect, and the dialect aku tau is Hokkien, which is used more up north sperti Penang dan Kedah, dan belah selatan cam Johor.
In central region however, aku kena perli je sebab majoriti pakai dialect lain.
Anyway, rupanya minah tu nak mintak donation. Merasalah ko...sempat dia laser tunjuk kat kotak Marlboro aku, katakan, "daripada ko bunoh diri ngan isap rokok, baik derma."
Hangin aku satu badan. Nak minta derma ke nak kutuk aku. So aku pun bagik ler sedas sekali.
I think she was kind of caught off guard and explained that this senior citizens home needed diapers. Tergerak lak ati aku...so part with some cash. Yerlah...benda camni..kita nak kedekut kenapa. Benda camni I always believe that no matter what...karma karma karma. One good turn deserves another...blah blah blah.
Rezeki kita akan lebih murah kan...so I've had an extremely good turn lately, so aku pun without hesitation. Makes me feel good lak...

Dan akhir sekali fesyen terkini konsep bunga plastik gedabak

Lega....ni kat office da setibanya dari Genting Highlands. Kejra pun da habis cuma sana sini sikit nak abihkan, and of course my overtime for last month yang kena file in claim lak.
Then...it's OFF!!! I'm planning to take two weeks off, tapi tu lah, tengok dulu keadaan. Lagipun, I need time off to recuperate (because unlike some who will find the most menial excuse for a claim to fame, I actually buat kerja). Tapi dalam masa tu, aku ada lagi tiga projek berjalan serentak.
Ni lak nak wat research sikit sebab masa kat Genting pas abih ABP semalam, lepak kat Starbucks, ada lak approach nak bisik sesuatu which I cannot repeat here.
Kang confirm aku announce...tapi ada ler yang sentap bijik kalau benda tu jadi kenyataan.
Merasalah akan dijadikan alasan nak carik pasal lagik sebab dengki dan carut dalam hati (a national hobby for some people...a cheap one too, befitting the characteristics of the folks who practise it). Whatever....bukan cari makan pun ngan orang orang camni...utang pun tak. Don't know if it's the reverse though. Pepandai sendiri ler time tuh kan...matilah become the bigger person dan halalkan jer.
Karma again...has a strange way of ending up smack right in the face.
Anyways, kembali cita Anugerah Bintang Popular. Besh siot.
It was the busiest award show for me so far dalam lebih 10 tahun aku ulang alik setiap anugerah nak wat liputan...sebab kali ni bukan je aku bertugas membuat liputan seperti rakan media yang lain, I also had another job. Yes, job. Not gila glamour past-time to validate my pathetic existence. Oops...did I go too far? Well, if the shoe fits? And if it doesn't, it's probably because someone didn't realise it was not referring to anything physical.
Moving on...
Cadang nak ke Genting awal, tapi sebab duduk sampai 7 pagi nak pastikan bebudak nya baju semua ok, akibatnya, sedar dari tidur pun da about 12pm. Packed, and shot to KL, picked up Ted, and then naik Genting terus. Sampai kul 3pm.
None of the kids had reached so grabbed a bite kat Burger King, before the trumpets blared, announcing the arrival of Juan Danza.
Pastu ingat nak rehat kat bilik sat sebelum bersiap, tapi had to drop in and check on Felix yang sedang disiapkan Nizam. Lawak gak layan Felix nih...lama da tak lepak ngan dia.
Compared notes on some stuff, helped Nizam out a little and got him ready.
More and more calls later, lari ngan Wanie ke bilik Mawi nak siapkan. Alamak...dak tuh tunggu sambil main PS2. Abih da...ni kena tunggu nih. Tambah agik especially abang Wan dan dia tengah lawan WWE katanya.
When we got started, we actually ran into a simple problem. Mawi punya belt semua yang had these huge buckle heads, yang actually kurang sesuai ngan baju formal. The only one yang kena was this D&G white belt for the red carpet suit, tapi tu lak dia pakai besar sikit sebab, al kisahnya, da beli, tak lak pakai pakai, lubang short satu tak tebuk.
Last last si Nasser korbankan belt dia sebab pinggang meka lebih kurang. Sebab aku lak takde white belt, and aku pakai suar putih, aku pun dapat ler belt baru.
Merasalah opening ceremony katanya tuk belt Mawi.
Got ready, si Wanie hopped in the limo ngan Mawi, Nasser and one more guy for security purposes. I took the second vehicle to avoid the fanfare.
Sampai je Theme Park Hotel, kami ke lower level where there was this holding area for artistes. Gegas lak nak settle barang kemas sponsor Habib.
Mawi, Rosyam, Ning, Nikki, Erra Fazira....tu antara meka yang pakai baju from the guys.
It was chaotic, but simply fun despite itbeing a tad stressful.
For the first time gak, thanks to Bill Bora yang memang veteran (mati aku, veteran katanya..) kat event camni, aku diperkenalkan pada the judges yang akan menentukan sapa best dressed personalities for the night. Bill ingatkan tuk nak bak perkenalkan artistes dressed by all the designers I'm working with, ngan designers sekali.
My first time jumpa the current president of MODA, which is the Malaysian Official Designers' Association. Best gak sembang ngan dia...and I'm proud to say she approves of my views when we traded opinions.
It's always a good thing to meet people who are accomplished to change views rather than know-it-alls who hardly have any claim to fame for their so-called pearls of wisdom.
Jumpa a lot of freinds within the industry yang aku only get to meet time time anugerah ni, so dalam kerja, kelam kabut, with two jobs going on at once, it wasn't all that bad because it was made bearable by the fun folks around.
Plus, because there really was maximum security at the event, memang kureng sikitler leeches or groupies around.
Ni some of the pics for the red carpet portion of the evening. Sebenarnya, aku penah jalan red carpet dalam time keja, tapi nothing could have prepared me for this madness.
Jalan ngan Fie, with some of the wardrobe for change during performances, tapi memang kita nak elak sana sini. Problem is, traffic jam siot. Mana taknya. Ko takleh overtake orang lain kat red carpet (though we did overtake Sazzy and Co. midway), so kalau orang depan henti, mampus ada traffic jam buildup all the way to the entrance of the red carpet.
Fie and I were sandwiched between Ning, Nikki, Yanie along with Azmi, Lucas dan Vernon in the front, and Sazzy Falak and her hubby.
Tapi bila da sampai pintu masuk ke Arena of Stars, terus traffic jam gila punya.
Amik ler peluang nak hoo-ha dan amik pics. Misha was behind us, along with Yasmin Hani and many more...so mingled and socialised where we could.
Yerlah nak tunggu giliran turun tangga to the actual arena lagik satu hal, memang nightmare on Elm Street.
Imagine walking down this steep and narrow staircase with hands reaching out at you. Erk...takut siot. Finally made it down jer, run backstage terus tuk bersiap.

Left to right, top to bottom : Rosyam ngan Nizam, walking behind Sazzy dan laki dia. Next, pemandangan kat red carpet, followed by pic Ning yang memang one of the loudest called for celebrities.Nikki dan Hazami di interview TV3 and Lucas sempat pose ngan Yanie. Yamin pose vogue ngan aku, dan si Linda dan Fahrin tetap...ehem. Next pic...sapa kata aku gaduh ngan Misha (keji kan statement) and followed by the 'walk of death' jalan turun tangga ke arena. Last two pics, Erra dan Ning masa kat area red carpet.
                                      

Pening sikit at that point, and apparently, silly me forgot to get  a drink handy, and knowing me, malas nak lari keluar, memang tambah agik teruk keadaan aku. The only relief nak dok puffing away, stick after stick of Marlboro.
Nak amik banyak pic kat dressing room takleh lak...for obvious reasons kan? I mean I could, but they wouldn't be decent for publishing.

Kalau dari dressing room, ni je aku sempat amik, sebab I was running between there, stage front as well as the nearest exit to smoke masa stressed. That and toying with my laptop tengah type story on the spot wat review show. Merasalah tempted nak update blog, tapi sebab takleh focus, malas.

Ziana ngan make-up artiste dia shared with Siti Nurhaliza, Nurul Shukor yang meletup, Dayang baru abih touch-up makeup and siapa lagi kalau bukan Datuk Siti Nurhaliza herself. Siti!!! Ko gorgeous ok, malam tu!!! (merasalah carut Nurul mak esah lak) I think Siti is starting to look more matured and sesuai umur dia, and yet still adorably cute and sweet. (puji sampai langit nih....thanks Siti ek for posing for this pic - dapat curi tips make-up...)
     

Tapi around the bacstage banyak ler sikit. All throughout the event, sampai abih, ni the collection pics of some of my favourite people yang aku sempat amik pic. Korang enjoy, puas-puas.

Apek, Apek and more Apek. Selamat kembali Apek! Semoga cepat sihat kembali 100% tip top ok! First with Aznil, then satu agik ngan Fasha and last call ntah merajuk ngan Fara Fauzana (merasalah pandai jer cakap padahal aku pun tatau pose haper dalam pic tuh) Then there's Nikki with Faizal and Nurul.

So that's about all the pictures I can share. Ada ler lagik, tapi aku rasa tak perlu. Ni pun pada sesiapa yang slow connection entah berapa hari nak buka page ni tuk load semua pics.
All in all it was a fun event. Kecoh sikit time kita kat backstage tunggu transport ke Genting Hotel tuk post party, which was thankfully by invite so no gatecrashers. Tight gila...sampai Wanie pun tak dapat masuk sebab Mawi lupa passingkan pass. Got in, got the pass, and brought Wanie in.
Anyway tengok ler kerenah artis berpusu pusu tunggu transport.
I didn't stay long. Lapar tapi tak berselera. Chomped down some shrimp and that was it. Strange though kan...pakai baju beribu raban ngan batuan segala...but you get served Ribena and Cordial. Matilah aku mencarut...
Tapi sebelum aku kena carut, biar aku cakap, the food was excellent...not that it mattered, cause it was the EXCLUSIVITY of the event which was more industry related, hence the absence of groupies or people yang takde kena mengena.
I buggered off about 15 minutes later selepas mereka announce the winners for the best dressed.

Hung out at Starbucks to email my news stories as well as finish my column and other articles.
Got most of my work done, and hung about. Most of the crowd abih post party je mai hangout. Zahid dan bebudak RuffEdge muncul, abang Aznil and gang pun ada. Nak amik pic pun battery phone dedua da flat. So no pics there too.
Balik bilik, freshen up, ngumpat ngan bebudak pasal the night, post mortem sat and then we went for supper cum breakfast sebab kebulur tak sangat kat post party. Gi mamak yang dekat Resort Hotel tuh....oh my. Rupanya banyak renovation, Nampak sangat so much has changed since aku last naik Genting almost a year ago.
Mamak tuh however tetap keji. Kelakar lak tengok Wanie punya nasi lemak banjir...unintentional of course. Sambal je lebih. Tapi the harga haiyo...mahal nak mampos.
Mana taknya kedai sekecik tu ada CCTV sampai 4 ketul! Merasalah nampak sangat meka ni kaya ngan exorbitant prices meka charga.
Eh...lapar lah...anyway I hope you guys suka this update...because I had fun throughout the whole night last night walaupun berserabut sikit pala nak wat tuh nih...
Got to go for now...look for something EXCLUSIVE news tomorrow. Kalao leh anggap exclusive ler. Lum baca lum tahu kan?!

Headless chicken ahoy!
Dalam kelam kabut nak siapkan tu nih, dan tuk separuh orang nak korek mana mampu tuk dapat tiket atau jemputan sebab desperate nak gi....I started the day by....going shopping.
Retail theraphy katanya. For some reason drawn to the sales kat 1 Utama. Went with my sis and Jida and picked up quite a few interesting items, including a little suit outfit thingie.
Suka! Aku jarang nak pakai formal. So while orang nak stylo and trendy tuk  buat kejutan...I'll be boring and prim and proper to get my shock value. A challenge for me actually sebab aku tak selesa pakaian yang nampak smart smart nih...aku lebih suka relaxed and casual...but then again I should be thankful, cause at least I have clothes that fit me, and a sense of dressing up unlike a nerdy geek.
Joy to the world....blah blah blah... a few problems cropped up here and there with some of the work, but then again it's out of my hands. Aku damage control pun setakat tu je...sebab hasil kerja orang lain. My work is fine as it is...so up to the individuals nak betul kan apa yang patut. Can't spoonfeed people all the time.
Besides, one of my azam tuk 2007 nih, is to rid myself of my really draggy compulsive caretaking obsession I have of caring more than I should about everyone.
Silly kan..the things you learn when you grow up (ok..fine...when you grow older). I used to think caring for friends and people near and dear was important. Only now I realise it's a sure-fire way of f***** up your life by bothering with some people who belong in the deepest recesses of some unknown region where the light don't shine on their ugly mugs.
Moving on...after retail theraphy, went for first round of servicing for my car. Nak naik bukit ni, nak best of shape. Aku selama ni neglect my car, so got it done today. Kang ada masa nak tukau tuh nih lagik. Wat time ni ada lebih dari cukup duit, nak ler settle all that. After all...it's too seek my fortune as well to be mobile...so gotta take care of my ride. But actually...thinking of pimping it a little. We'll see...
Abih servicing my wheels, bersiap dan lari ke Istana Budaya, sebab nak jumpa Wanie, Za and Juan tuk fitting Mawi. Si Juan nak wat story tuk IRemaja so dia ikut sekali...
Mawi called me up about 7pm and said he was on the way, so aku pun round dulu ler area tuh...mak aih. Why the hell did they put the Eye on Malaysia here?
The transportation infrastructure is hardly healthy in this area to put something that would congest it further. One bloody round driving along the roads keliling kawasan tuh pun da take setengah jam.
Seriously la...I think someone crewed up on the planning bit when it came to location. Now I understand how this person felt masa nak gi hantar artiste dia wat show kat sana masa pelancaran And this is only the tip of the iceberg as the crowd wasn't all that bad.
Sampai je...tengok the rest of the gang da sampai. Barely five minutes pastu, si Mawi call kata dia da sampai. Along with Nasser dan abang Wan.
Freddie was in Istana Budaya already sebab ada sesi 'istimewa' tuk Mawi jumpa sorang peminat dari jauh. Kalau nak tau lebih pasal tuh, bacalah Kosmo! esok. Aku takleh cita lebih lak kat sini...sebab takde kena mengena ngan aku...and unlike some people...I respect the work of others. Any takers on the terasa bit...no? Hardly surprising...thick skin makes you immune to a lot of things. Even the painful truth.
So on with the fitting...everything was fine. Kalao nak tau, Mawi will be wearing an all white tux, just sikti off the traditional cut kat red carpet with some sprinkling of diamonds from Habib, dan masa dia perform, a maroon top with white shirt coupled ngan suar hitam. Tengok ler sendiri...here are some pics dari sesi tadi..

Ni Wanie tengah fitting si Mawi. Hah...ok tak? All white katanya. Merasalah virginal! Yang picketiga tu, terang sebab flash camera si Juan. Bawahnya part ofthe outfit for the performance. Erm...baru perasan perut naik sikit ek Mawi. Amik ko...
   

Pas abih fitting, mula mula ingat nak join meka tuk show kat tasik sebab si Haziq, Fahan da ramai agik ada. Abang Wan ajak...tapi pas pikir berkali kali...malas lak.
Esok rancang nak gerak awal pagi. Terus dari sana...gerak gi melantak kat kak Ara, then ingat nak havoc sikit joget lambat sebelum balik for a wink or two.
