Today I got my freedom, and I feel free. No sadness, no regret...in fact just relief. Immediately enjoyed my singlehood and started getting back on my feet. Yes...back in the dating game...not like I have the time for it. Nampaknya, umur bukan saja semakin mematangkan, tapi me laku kan diri aku nih yang tak seberapa. Leh? Kang ada yang kata berangan. Well, ever heard the fable about sour grapes? Decided nak gerak ke Stadium Putra awai sikit earlier sebab takut parking problems. Bloody hell...turns out everywhere is a reserved zone. Finally dapat ler good spot yang accessible, tapi akibat membuang masa mencari tempat, the rain was pouring by the time I attempted to get out of the stupid parking lot to get into the stadium. Yang sakit hati nya...banyak ruang kosong...pah sapa nak parking pun aku tatau. Masa tuh ujan da turun heavy sangat...it was really beyond ridiculous to expect anyone to get through the shower. Korang tengok pic tuh...time tuh ujan dalam 10 minit pun da banjir da the nearest car park lot beside the stadium yang kononnya reserved tuk bulu sapa ntah nak parking sana. Aiyak....bijik tol lah... Not to mention the nearest public car park was miles away (exaggerate ler...but paham what I mean if you have been there), and most of it banjir with the heavy downpour. I swear a lot of people watched AJL pakai slipper jer. Me? My shoes may have been soaked...but they still looked fab. Fast forward, aku basah kuyup ler by the time masuk ke red carpet. Aiyak...keji! Bukan aku je ok...ada ler rakan-rakan artis yang feeling patut jalan red carpet, tapi akibatnya tak kuasa sebab drenched ok. Seriously...dah ler parking lot entah reserve bagik atuk sapa, During the heavy downpour, yang peliknya, meka tak remove barriers and all, orang yang berpusu pusu mai stadium, apa lagik...basah kuyup. To make matters worse, even meka yang sampai awal tuk red carpet, kena jalan redah ujan, then sampai nak masuk entrance, walkway dihalang oleh barriers which were not removed. So they had to run in the rain...silly f****! I was one of those who got drenched. In th end, Min, member TV3 bak gi dry off. Leh? Dok bawah dryer kat Gents jer. With people coming in and out... Forward lagik...aku da kering sikit, rupanya bukan aku je yang basah kuyup, ramai agik soggy semacam. Had fun because event camnih memang ramai ler member dalam industri yang hadir, so it's always more of a reunion where all of us can be together. Competition kick off...tak banyak beza ngan review aku ler tuk full dress (hah...advanced review ler kira). Lagikpun perlu ke review sebab korang memasing ada TV atau gi sana gak kan? So aku kali nih, sebab da offer advanced, aku bagik behind the scenes exclusive after the event jer. Let's see...apa yang beza malam semalam. Aku rasa Neves didn't do as bad malam ni, walaupun sora tetap flat, sebab nak elak dari sumbang. Lain dari tuh apa ek... Erm...Hazami looked and sounded better than semalam. Visually the only highlight for the night. Memang aku puji gila babas idea (hasil dari Safri) for the presentation, Kelas ok... Oh...dan Mawi nampak cam Adam dan abang Nasir nampak cam Yazer masing masing pakai wig. Aiyo.... Tapi besh ler show meka...havoc gak banding ngan rehearsal. Adibah was more amazing, though aku sentap sikit sebab miking lak fail and you couldn't hear the kids so well. Still...meleleh ler air mata kali kedua. Zahid pun was equally mesmerising...no I'm not being biased. Lagu tuh memang power ok. I have no problems with Tak Tercapai Akalmu, because it is quite a good song, tapi bosan tengok muka Elyana (sesapa da rekomen kasut Pallas Jazz Star?) entah pakai haper, kaki ayam pastuh cam orang tak betui mengeram atas pentas tuh. Rugi jer bagi dia ruang kat Anugerah Juara Lagu. Kalau Caramu dapat pun, at least performance lebih menghiburkan. That's a fact. Kalau tak pun RuffEdge punya Da Bomb. Sebab pertunjukan pentas semua tak besh sangat. Dua tiga kerat jer yang leh enjoy...lain tuh cam cukup tangkap muat. Jelas ternyata persembahan pentas untuk AJL kali ni hambar sikit dan tak sebegitu menarik bebanding tahun tahun lepas. But not because of the quality of production, tapi quality of finalists. Nora was one of the best punya with Secebis Harapan seperti aku da katakan. Tapi vocal dia tak sampai sangat malam tadi. A little bit off here and there, but takder ler sampai tahap Neves dan Elyana yang bak kata Paula Abdul, "Now, that's a note I haven't heard before." By the way...veering off a little. Kalau nak tengok how the back side of celebrities look like, this is it. Matilah akukena carut ngan Cheryl dan Ally. Masa meka wat crossover ngan backdrop of the stage tuh, kat elevated platform, aku dok ngam ngam membelakangi meka. I didn't even know they were there. Keji...so took some shots of their rears. Yes, this is the 'behind the scenes' look I promised. Boleh? Amik ko...not to be seen anywhere... But truly, this birds eye view was the best in the house, unobstructed by anyone, and I had myself tapping away with my work to the beat of the music, often to ignore those horrible off-key notes by certain singers. Oh well....some of us work...not freeload at events, so thus the berangan rajin part of the event. Incidentally, having a connection also means you can also do other stuff to amuse yourself bila persembahan da membosankan sangat... That's thinking ahead for you. One more thing...this is another picture, you won't see anywhere else. Mr Manager had attempted to take a shot of Cheryl doing an Elyana (what a lousy style icon), so I won't publish the shots here), so I took the next best thing. The horrible, ugly looking pumps yang dia tanggal sebab tak larat kot nak pakai. Looking at how torturous they are (second only to Elyana prancing about and Neves singing), no surprise ler dia bukak kasut! Berapa inci ler monstrosity nih. This looks like almost the same pair of heels yang Farhan tanggalkan time konsert tuh...ingat tak? Well, whoever made these shoes, I think if they were the same pair, and people took them off twice during a big event...it's time to recall the footwear and make something more practical cause this sure isn't working out. Balik pada cita Anugerah Juara Lagu. For those of you yang nak the official results...perlu ker...aiyo...which cave did you sneak out from. I suppose it's highly impossible you don't know...tapi just in case ler... Well, if you haven't been up to date, and I really need to post it, here they are.

Tak banyak beza dari ramalan aku. And not too much of a surprise. While I love Terlalu Istimewa, nampaknya aku underestimate kekuatan in terms of this competition. Kenapa aku cakap camtuh? Sebab aku dapat tau ada beberapa perubahan dalam sistem penjurian tahun nih berbanding ngan tahun tahun lain. Kalau sebelum ni, ada undi SMS untuk Persembahan Terbaik, tahun nih takder dan 100% markah juri, ada lagik perubahan yang tak ketara dan tak diumumkan. Kalau sebelum ni pemarkahan untuk aspek teknikal lagu dilakukan sebelum malam Anugerah Juara Lagu (meaning the results sebelum sebelum ni memang da ada bila tiba malam competition, and result malam tuh hanya diputuskan tuk Vokal Terbaik dan Pesembahan Terbaik) tahun nih ada sikit beza. Apparently, bukan Terlalu Istimewa yang sandang Juara Lagu kalau ikutkan pemarkahan awal. Tapi disebabkan persemabahan Adibah yang power malam tadi, malah prioriti diberikan juri untuk mengubah pemarkahan. Ketika sidang akhbar, Azhar Borhan pun ada bagitau, the points between the winner and tempat kedua memang jauh. But kemenangan Terlalu Istimewa bukan je pada lagu, but also keberkesanan delivery atau persembahan Adibah yang berjaya sampaikan the feel of the song. So you see, kalau ikutkan technical evaluation, seperti tahun tahun lepas, mungkin ramalan aku 100% betul, tapi takper la. I'm proud of Adibah no matter what. Dia tunggu 12 tahun nak wat album...and it was a good album, dedicated to Nurul Huda, mangsa rogol yang berumur 10 tahun. Adibah has been through so much herself, this is a reward no less for her blood, sweat and tears after all this time. Also proud Warkah Buat Laila menang kategori, walaupun kesian Zahid pressure semua expect dia je menang. Beban tau. You performed great bro. Also bangga ngan Mawi sebab dia da tunjuk kematangan dalam persembahan dia...and aku pun tumpang sorang like everyone else for that persembahan yang bertenaga Power Root dan lebih spicy dari Mamee curry katanya. Pissed off a little over the event, sebab PC cut short sebab da lewat. Masuk post party lak...mak aih!!! Nak wat keja interview pun tak larat...tarik ke luar je. Tapi memang ramai artis pun berambus da time tuh, tak tahan kot the number of groupies flooding the room. Takde pun security yang beriya iya the whole two days, check for invites. Bodoh tul... Keja overdose time tak diperlukan...but when you need them, they're not around. Hopeless...Misha was missing, so was M.Nasir, Mawi dan juga Elyana (itu memang tak penting) Only Ning and Dayang...Zahid....berapa orang jer apart from a majority of small time names...and many menyemak cases. Oh well... Went outside dan call Mawi. Ceria je sora dia. Interview ler sikit dapatkan pendapat dia. Rupanya while others didn't want to have to jostle their way for the food (which was hardly worth jostling over, I heard), Mawi actually had to rush to Ipoh. Back to the hall.. Entah sapa la yang dijemput...penuh ruang makan...oh well...then I suppose it makes freeloaders who didn't make it in even worse. As usual, freeloaders and smoochers ramai dapat gak masuk...so didn't bother. Just stayed out and focused on my work sebab nak hantar beberapa article sekali. Abih jer gerak balik tuk tidur... Oh my...it's seriously refreshing when dapat tidur bebetul nih. In fact, not only did I wake up fresh, sempat sambung tidur one more round after brunch. Then spent some more time mengumpul taik mata again sat sebelum bangun for lunch. Spent some time with the folks at home, depan the idiot box. Yes, we all love the weekends, don't we? Jumpa sayang aku, lawat kedai kak long tuk buat lambaian ratu then gerak ke Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil for the full dress rehearsal of Anugerah Juara Lagu. Stage cantik, but tatau ler camna rupa kat TV kang...esoktau ler. Aku dok setempat front row center (ala ala jer) sebab nak check out the sound, plus get the most approprate view, plus nak beri pluang bebetul nak hayati the show. Yerlah...kalau esok mungkin lain persembahan meka..ada yang lebih hancur...ada yang lebih meletop. But at least it allows a last minute change to my opinion over who my choices for Anugerah Juara Lagu will be. Ni review aku dari full dress rehearsal sekali ngan what I think their chances are of winning tomorrow. Kira predictions aku ler. Tikam, jangan tak tikam.
First up onstage, Bob dan Aspalela Abdullah. I'm sorry...I really like this song, but run of the mill sangat. In terms of music and lyrics, I really can't see the point of this song from the point of view of a competition. I support Bob because of his immense talent and voice, but Hantaran Hati is hardly an innovative song. The performance itself was like watching a badly rehearsed segment of a Visit Malaysia Year 2007 cultural promo. Vocally however, the duo proved to the others what real singers can even make out of the lamest (not that Hantaran Hati is the lamest, even though it is pretty lame) song. Oh by the way....host malam esok, Ally Iskandar, Cheryl Samad dan Fara Fauzana. Erm...no comment. The fusion glamour theme and the tribute to Bernard Chandran for sponsoring was so waste of time. I really don't get the theme...and seriously I couldn't be bothered ler nak try and paham. On with the show, next performance dari M. Nasir with Juwita Citra Terindah. Erm...I love this song because somehow it's so retro pop! Tapi dari segi persembahan, paham jer ler kan. It's M. Nasir. What you see is what you get. Takper...aku bouncing jer time lagu nih. So I can say from Hantaran Hati, ni reverse sangat sebab the song is so strong while the performer is ho hum. Tapi takper ler...what else can I say? Gila nak carut sifu????!!! Time nih nak gi toilet cigarette break, tapi kena halang security. Al kisahnya TV3 amik pasukan keselamatan third party. Apparently Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil punya in house security, kata Datuk Farid Redzuan yang sempat berbual ngan aku before the show kicked off. Mmm...patutler SEDIH sangat perangai security. Memang sesuai perangai minimum wage motherf*****s yang dasar gila kuasa. Gi mampos ler...I only wanted a ciggy break...and I earn more than four times your salary ok, loser. Sesuai ko jaga toilet. Nak kata ko jaga jalan ke backstage, pass leh lepas. Tapi TOILET PUN NAK JAGA???!!! Seriously...patut ler mulka ko cantik sangat! Caught the rest of abang Nasir's performance instead which had a rockin' end. Ok ler...lega sikit hati with that and pujukan member TV3 pas aku ngamuk. Hish...how come the lower the rank, the bigger the loser...authority trip lak lebih. Macam sial.... But since my mood pun da hangin sikit, sesuai ler set the mood for the next performance yang would have rosak my mood anyway, which was Misha Omar with Ku Seru. I thought the Ziana Zain-esque, overdrawn and milked till the nipples are sore and cracked vibrato attempt, was SO passe and so five minutes ago. Erm...seriously lah...someone get her vocal lessons and a new hairstyle, ok. And what is with that pacing about....it was ok ler zaman zaman Bunga Bunga Cinta, tapi I think it's run its course, so agak agak ler da. Ngan henjut, sepak kaki...you get the picture. BORING! Lagu? Erm...ok ler. I like Ku Seru though not as much as most of the other songs, tapi Misha Omar is one major spoiling factor dalam nak hayati lagu nih. And korang perasan tak...masa dia nyanyi live mesti sengau abih menjadi jadi. Oh well...maybe she just had a bad day. Either that or dia nak gi ke toilet dan kena halang ngan sekuriti (kot ler sbab henjut-henjut cam tak tahan kencing jer) Apapun, this song is one confirmed non-contender for the Ballads category for me. Fara Fauzana ada wat cross over at this point ngan Bob dan Aspalela, M. Nasir and Misha Omar. Suka M. Nasir punya jawapan masa Fara soal (tatau esokpun soal ke tak) kenapa tak abih abih AJL kena ada M. Nasir je (dalam bahasa lebih sopan). Abang Nasir hanya jawab , "selagi masa diperlukan" or something like that. Cayalah!!!! The video playback then went on to scenes of Kota Tinggi dan sebagainya menunjukkan keadaan banjir yang melanda selatan tanahair, rupanya promo Tabung Bantuan Banjir TV3. Cait...ingat dalam AJL ada wat segment tribute tuk mangsa mangsa banjir. Baru nak puji very the semangat kemasyarakatan. Kalao esok bahagian nih, da masuk commercial break rupanya. Abih je iklan yang gerenti berejam (dimana takleh ke toilet sebab nak gi jauh nak mampos!) so bersabar ngan ngan rajinnya update ler blog lagik. Alamak...lagu seterusnya Zapin Cinta SMS performed by kak Dibah and *ugh*! Senario. I love kak Dibah's voice, tapi I seriously am super irritated by the mere presence of tiga ekor dak Senario tuh. Sora haram kuar. And their attempt nak appear the comedic act they're supposed to be FAIL. Damn...why can't humour be intelligent???!!! Kalau Indonesia, Project Pop pun wat lagu lawak...tapi lagu semua kelas...ni cam @#$%^&*. And you call this JUARA LAGU???!!! But Adibah was vocally sedap and made the lagu fun, tapi dalam nak nikmati sora kak Deebs, rasa loya lak sora Senario. Not to mention the almost retarded manner of themselves strutting all over. Kalau aku ala filem Click starring Adam Sandler tuh, this is one part of my life yang aku nak forward. BLEURRGHH!!!! NEXT!!!! Erm...sapa ek? Banyak sangat songeh Ally ngan Fara...aiyak! The horror continues! Pretty Ugly lak muncul ngan Diari Seorang Lelaki. Uwa...feeling bluesy dan jazzy lak katanya...arrangement for intro lain. Cam memberikan seribu harapan (yang bakal hancur) Nyanyian Neves yang nervous breakdown? The first two lines ok ler...then hancur seperti biasa. Somebody get him vocal lessons please!!!! Ker mintak Misha coach dia sebab advance sikit. Arghh...berdarah telinga aku!!! Arghhh...noooo....helppp...tortureee!!! Aku rasa kalau meka nak seksa orang in police detension ke ISA ke OSA ker haper...mintak Neves nyanyi live jer ler...cukup ler.! It beats even the most vile form of torture you can imagine. Just when you thought it couldn't get worse, tiba-tiba ala ala dramatic pause! Terhenti...senyap... uwaa...pandai ek wat drama. Backing singers empat orang meka nih lak....amik alih ler. AWMIGAWDDDD!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get worse. Korang pun tau kan si Neves sebegitu lahar sora dia, tapi jangan terkejut backing vocals LAGIK LAHAR! Arghhh!!! The torture intensifies katanya. Teruknya!!!! Abih jer the extended torture, had to go back for some more bila Cheryl interview Senario dan Pretty Ugly. Uwaaaaakkkkk!!!! Montah ijo. Something good followed though ngan next performance by Hazami ngan Mungkir Bahagia. Mak aih....audio visual prsentation katanya. The appearance of the full choir MELETUP! Very the performing arts utilised. Aku tanak cakap lebih...kang pecah lobang, tapi kalao korang tak dapat mengadap TV sepanjang malam, PLEASE CARI MASA ketika Hazami perform sebab rugi kalao miss. Sora dia perlu ke komen? Apapun, Hazami did me proud! As I am sure he will repeat the excellent performance for tomorrow at the actual event. Times like this, I'm proud to say what very few people know. That I had a hand in developing Hazami's career before anyone knew about him. Time tuh, Ted yang kenalkan kawan ITM dia yang baru balik London. Katanya sora meletup and aku patut tolong. Sebab kawan yang sora pun tak kurang elok, aku pun meet up ngan Hazami, tak silap aku kat rumah member kat Seksyen 6 time tuh kat rumah Wan, and after listening to him, and his demo, aku got on the move straightaway. Set a meeting ngan Ajai to test some of the talents I was promoting, with Hazami being the main focus. Needless to say, kul 9 malam kat Nearfield Studio (skang Wake The Baby) Nurul dan Ajai sekali terngangang ngan demo Hazami. Esok paginya pada pukul 11 pagi, Ajai call aku dan kata, confirm dia nak sign Hazami. The rest is history. Yes, he was the first artiste I discovered. Two more followed. The third was Nikki, yang aku kenal sesampainya kat Kuala Lumpur untuk Malaysian Idol. Aku kawan ngan dia sebab kagum ngan bakatnya, dan berjanji akan memastikan impian dia akan menjadi kenyataan sekiranya dia tak muncul sebagai Malaysian Idol pertama. Needless to say...she is where she is today and one of the undoubted best new talents in the country courtesy to the management of Ning & Associates. The second artiste I left out? Yang memang derhaka dan tak sedar diri....dan antara finalist for AJL kali ni Perlu ke...*bleurrrghhh* The only thing yang aku tak suka pasal performance dia was the visual pmpuan gedik kat background. Korang tengok jer ok. But aku vote nih Best Performance easily tanpa saingan ok. Next was Siti Noridana. Erm...break iklan ler. Pakai tag Artiste ihsan dari seseorang teman dan bergilir ke toilet ngan sayang aku Masa aku gi break lak, serempak ngan Dayang sempat nak sembang pasal persiapan Anugerah Bintang Popular, because she's one of the artiste sponsored by my team. Mawi dan M. Nasir next...besh gak performance meka gak. Memang sebab da banyak kali tengok persembahan meka, kot aku da lali sikit kot dan terbiasa kot ngan Lagu Jiwa Lagu Cinta nih...tapi kuat gak ler kiranya. Tapi kalau aku best bet for Best Performance si Hazami, my vote for Best Vocal Performance goes to, tanpa was was lagi, is none other than Adibah Noor. Mak aih...aku terduduk, melelh airmata ok. Eena, ko jangan tipu...ko pun feeling gak kan nak nangis, tapi maintain cantik punya pasal tanak nangis kan??? Kan kan kan....Hah...lari ko dok sebelah laki ko si Yasin takut kena carut. Matilah aku pasnih jumpa Eena...love you babe. Adibah was amazing, and kalau biasa orang pakai kanak-kanak tuk dance, Adibah has a children's choir yang memang mengundang seribu kesayuan...this is another performance not to be missed!!! I mean it! Memang...aiyo....kalao tak menang memang lahar sangat. Oh by the way, sapa tak paham apa tuh lahar, lahar ad pendek kata untuk lahanat. Matilah....carut tak hengat. Alunan melodi lagu nih, memang melayakkan ler lagu nih seperti predicted by many as Juara Lagu. Kalau lagu ni betul dapat menyandang title juara kali ni, ni hanya kali kedua pemenang Song of the Year atau Lagu Terbaik di AIM dapat juga anugerah sebagai Juara Lagu di AJL. The only person to have done that was Siti Nurhalzia, and closest saingan was Ning Baizura, yang previously ngan Awan Yang Terpilu. Tapi Ning kena cilok kat AJL oleh Jac bila Jac menang ngan Gemilang. Gemilang lak kena cilok ngan Warkah Untuk Laila tuk AIM, so it'll be nice to see if Warkah leh dapat Juara Lagu and set a record for completing the baton relay race. Next up...Elyana...artiste yang suam suam kuku yang berangan lebih syok sendiri mulot cam #$%^& nak kutuk artis lain, berangan stylo walaupun rambut feeling nak Naima la...nak Agnes Monica, dan berangan image kaki ayam vogue, padahal recycle Bjork, Joss Stone...dan pelbagai. Perlu ke. Kesian lak abang Aidit dan Ad Samad sebab lagu best leh bagi kat pompuan nih. Tak sesuai. Gedik tak bertempat dan feeling kuat dia lebih hebat dari artis lain. KEJI! Korang dengar radio ERA tak? Kan ada satu iklan..."Wow...rambut ranggi...pakaian stylo...tetapi kenapa kaki ayam?" "Pakailah Jazz Star dari Pallas" Someone bagi Elyana dengar iklan tuh...barukot dia belajar pakai kasut. Kalau lahar...memang dan tetap akan lahar!!! Ari nih aku dapat rehatkan diri, dapat relax. Biasalah. Like I said when it comes to the end of the week, that's when I really get to chill and kick back and relax. Malas nak tulis pepanjang, so I'm just noting a few lines down for the sake of having an entry. Yes, I know...I know...it's a bit sad. But kesiankan ler aku kan...nak gak relax pas the hectic week that I had. Esok lak another full...well not really full...but kira ada ler program keja selain beriadah. Spending some time at home. Seaking of which, masa melantak ngan sayang aku kat Seksyen 7 Shah Alam, kat Ulek Mayang, sempat tengok one episode of the Raja Lawak punya daily diary or whatever they call it. Aku memang tak follow, sebab konsep dia pun tuk aku bangang sikit. For me, the whole idea is just purely silly because humour is not something you can teach someone, but I suppose Astro desperate kot nak carik pengganti Akademi Fantasia sampai tahap nih kot. Yerlah, asik dok propah 'Mungkinkah Ini Peluang Terakhir Anda?'... so cepat cepat ler wat program lain nbgan harapan leh ganti their one and only hit...which is of course admittedly the biggest reality TV show in Malaysia. Credit to them for that. Tapi aku rasa any of their other productions di bayangi Akademi Fantasia...or is it my imagination? Or maybe it's just the recycled facilities meka pakai dalam hostel Raja Lawak tuh yang memang pakai tuk Akademi Fantasia gak yang nampak terlampau familiar. Whatever ler...there is zero redeeming quality dalam Raja Lawak, and buang masa je. Lum agik nak layan apa lak meka nak wat tuk Glamor Gila Gila is the right word to use in the desperation nak bebanyakkan reality TV show low budget kat Astro nih. Hmmm...I think they should go back to the drawing board and devise something fresh and new, cause these two programmes are definitely not going to be it. Anyway...tu jer meroyan aku tuk malam ni, esok akui review of what most likely will transpire for Anugerah Juara Lagu tomorrow. Pening kalau KL hujan. Takyah nak banjir pun jalan tersekat sana sini. You really can't get around anywhere. After I finished my event at Palace of the Golden Horses, aku took a detour ke my favourite place, izzi kat Bukit Bintang (sebab ada wifi percuma). It's a great cafe, with ambience, good food, and more importantly, free wifi and an air-conditioned damned smoking section - something missing in bloody restaurants and cafes nowadays. Aku nak hantar dua news stories, so senang kalau takyah gerak balik office...after all it's bloody 7pm kat memana pun takleh gi. So baik dok sini, watch the world go past, as I puff on a ciggy, enjoy my garlicbread and tomato soup for starters as I finish my work, and of course, update my blog. Event tadi seronok sebab walaupun ketandusan kehadiran A-list artistes, I got to catch up with many people I haven't met in a while. My favourite nasyid group, Rabbani (yes...I love them ok...them and Nowseeheart - the best vocal group in Malaysia) were there, and I got to chat sikit ler. Rindu lama tak jumpa, so sempat ler sok sek sikit. Then jumpa si Velvet yang lama ilang. I think the last I met her was at least three or four months ago. But the first person I bumped into was Bob, yang rushing sebab dia nak ciao ke rehearsal Anugerah Juara Lagu. Mak aih!!! Rambut very the wakil Sarawak, championing the hornbills of the state gituh. Bangga gila ler orang nih sebab ada identity kampung dia di tayang. Kalau ikutkan orang nih lak...dia kata cam Lotter punya rambut lak. For me...keji la Bob wat rambut camtuh!!! Tengah interview sana sini, nampak ler bebudak Lips. Hah...ada pun. Apa agik...feeling terjah ler si Oshin nak tanya tul ker dia yang kena terjah Melodi. Jawapannya...of course not ler. By the way, Oshin yang belah kiri sekali in the pic kalau korang tak cam. Tapi kalao nak story penuh, kena la beli The Malay Mail esok. Promo gitu....yerlah...tu carik makan ma...blog ni suka suka. Mana leh cita semua kan? Tapi esok ada gak cita Azwan cabar Mawi. Nak tau...pepandai ler. Anyway...sempat gak sembang ngan kak Shahila and kak Aina...veteran production tuk Akademi Fantasia. Tahun nih meka tak terlibat, so topik quite safe ler. But thanks kak Aina for the info yang Mawi@Mauritius akan ditayang pada 5hb Februari. So sesapa yang minat Mawi nak tengok the production helmed by kak Aina, or sesapa nak tengok aku shopping ngan Mawi (keji....promo diri sendiri lak), tune in and check it out. Korang nak advanced punya viewing kena la usha back entry blog aku masa cita Mauritius ler. But worth catching it...if not for Mawi, for the beautiful sights of Mauritius. Memang best gila. Aku nak tengok sebab nak layan nostalgia (gituh) teringat masa jalan jalan kat sana. Aduh...bila nak ke sana lagik. Good news again today for the design team. Semalam dapat berita Wanie hopefully akan dapat Maya Karin, pending approval of designs, while Nizam punya meeting with abang Rosyam went well, and in fact, kejap agik nak jumpa Nizam sebab abang Rosyam ada offer something lagik. Dapat ler contract harap-harapnya...if all goes well..nampaknyha company aku on track ler nih. Ok ler...that's all for this entry. Esok posting baru...

One I consider the coolest boss and mentor I ever had in Rocky (Rocky's Bru) and the other, an iconic blog that everyone knows in Jeff Ooi (Screenshots). The question is...where now lies the freedom of speech now? ...and why are we so good at setting the lousiest firsts. Oh well... Malaysia boleh kan? We keep uttering that so many times...that it's actually starting to make sense even for me. This is my actual plea to all bloggers top take note. A movement called Bloggers United has been started. The online support campaign tak mintak pun korang nak bagik duit ker haper. All you need to do, is put up this on your blog. Yes, it's that simple? And why would you do that? Well, it makes sense for every blogger in Malaysia, or Malaysian bloggers irregardless of wherever you guys are, to join in, and indirectly speak out against the possibility of blog censorship. If this landmark event actually turns out negatively, what could happen is, all bloggers would then be open and subject to much harassment. I think we all blog because we all somehow believe in freedom of expressing our thoughts... responsibly of course... But now, with two major bloggers being sued, it's no laughing joke anymore. While people who choose to remain anonymous, get away with online murder, we, those of us who dare reveal ourselves and take responsiblity for our thoughts...our words, now may have to live in fear with every word we post. This is a reality. So do your part. This is not a pledge of support for anyone in particular. Do it for no one else but yourself if that helps to sway you into joining the movement. We are a group of Malaysian bloggers who believe in justice and right to free speech. We, who endorse the Bloggers United movement , unanimously condemn the action taken by media conglomerate NST against bloggers Rocky Bru and Jeff Ooi. The action by the newspaper against the duo is an action against all bloggers who believe in their right to free speech, freedom of expression and justice.
The recent event may seem like a grave development in the path of bloggers, but it can never and must never impede or stop us from defending our right to speak, to express, to write and to tell the truth, to be the watchdog, eyes and ears of the people, or simply to share our view, and give fair comment on any subject which involves and affects us as humans, as rightful citizens of this country.
The recent event may very well give the government owned media the opportunity to dictate the so-called 'truth" but such actions only prove that bloggers must unite , continue to uphold the right to free speech and freedom of expression, fight for justice, even if it is not our own, be more alert, committed to the cause of free speech, relentless and persistence in the face of such persecution like the one which had befallen on the two of us.What YOU do to any of US, is what YOU do to ALL.
As responsible bloggers, we demand and claim our space on the blogosphere for free and fair comment, where important national issues and prominent personalities are discussed.
Although it may seem as if the NSTP defamation suits will have a chilling effect on freedom of bloggers, as litigation can be expensive and may jeorpadise a blogger's economic position, we will not be cowed or silenced by those who have no regard for free speech.
If you find our post offensive, you may refute us with correct facts and figures and fair comment, in the spirit of free speech.
The first two cases will have grave impact not only on the internet, but country as a whole as the country celebates VMY2007. The healthy, mature and democratic growth for free speech and expression in our midst is at stake.
The reputation of the nation as it strives to promote our multimedia supercorridor and love for IT will be a national joke for all the world to feast on.

Arini kelam kabut sikit wat keja ari ni. Bukan apa...otak tak straight. Sebab aku dok selsema. Yerlah...smalam my sayang da *sroot* *sroot* hidung dia yang ala ala Rudoplph the red nosed reindeer merah semacam. Ni lak aku punya turn. Mula mula terasa gatal sikit jer. In the end, it became horrifically irritating and then...voila! Selsema. Sampai office, aku abih kan sedikit keja, sambil planning update blog (sebenarnya nak publish kan entries yang da buat, tapi tak publishkan. Then realised I had to go ke Mid Valley Megamall sebab ada pra-tonton filem Syaitan.
Tujuan pegi nak interview Rosyam yang star of the movie, as well as at the same time, nak confirm kan time nak presentation design kerana Nizam wat baju dia tuk Anugerah Bintang Popular (tengok entry yang lepas). But once got there, decided to stay on since member Tayangan Unggul ajak lepak tuk tonton filem tuh. So decided to give it a go ler. Lepak sekali ngan kengkawan media including Farihad (Berita Harian), Syazwan dan Marlia (Utusan), Min (Bacaria), JD (Mangga), Emma (Hai!) in one row. As you can see from this picture, sebelumnya bermula majlis pra tonton ni, ada bacaan doa, Lihat ler kengkawan berdoa meminta filem ini tidak keji dan mereka tidak terhasut nak mencarut lebih lebih (keji kan statement....) Syaitan.... Mmmm...apa aku leh cakap pasal movie nih ek. Well...it is quite intelligent. Kira ada standard gak ler filem nih sebab tak membodohkan penonton ngan storyline yang tak menyuap sebijik sebijik, cuma I think some parts of it kabur sangat, yang jenis malas pikir time masuk movie nih tidak akan tertarik ngan misteri nusantara ni (gituh...) akan turn off. Plot developmentnya startingnya attempts to come across as a horror flick, when it's actually a psycho thriller kinda flick. First of all credits filem Syaitan. Syaitan diterbitkan oleh Tayangan Unggul Sdn Bhd. It's directed by bade Hj Azmi and stars Rosyam Nor, Lis Dawati, Que Haidar, Zul Huzaimy, Lyana Jasmay, Kusyairy, Norkhiriah, Azri Iskandar dan juga Ellie Suriarti. Lain details korang nak tau ker....takyah la kan? Sinopsis nya? Cita ni pasai Muslim (Rosyam Nor) dan Dalila (Lis Dawati) yang baru berkahwin dan pindah ke apartment di mana mereka sajalah penghuni dalam kawasan baru ni. Citanya, Dalila ni telah dipaksa berkahwin ngan Muslim bila dilamar, atas paksaan keluarganya. Bermacam peristiwa pelik terjadi dalam apartment yang hanya diduduki mamat security, si Adam (Zul Huzaimy) dan juga anak nya yang down syndrome bernama Ana (Lyana Jasmay) yang disorokkan. Muslim mula syak pada Dalilah yang dirasanya mempunyai hubungan sulit ngan ex nya si Saad (Que Haidar), tapi dinafikan Dalila. Lain jalan cerita korang kena tafsirkan sendiri dari babak babak seterusnya. Oh by the way, filem ni akan mula ditayangkan pada 25 January 2007, iaitu hari Khamis, dalam seminggu dari ari ni.Simpang dekat RM1 sehari pun sempat agik tengok kat panggung. Tiada alasan tau nak terlepas!
What's good about Syaitan? 10 sebab kenapa anda HARUS tonton Syaitan. *Cinematography, camera work dan lighting, bagus ler kalao ikutkan. Don't judge it by standard filem cam Gangster ke...Castello ker. Ni jauh lebih elok.
*Jalan cerita nya memang thinking movie ler. Takde ler semua disajikan. Kena pikir la gak. I like the kekusutan scene sikit sebab sebenarnya angle seolah dari pandangan Muslim...kusut dan mengelirukan...dapat ler mendalami perasaan Muslim kononnya.
*Lakonan mantap dari semua, especially Ellie dan juga Que Haidar yang meletop...(walaupun aku tak penah gemar hasil kerja Que sebelum ni)
*Set yang menarik dan lokasi yang simple but menjadi dalam menghidupkan cerita Syaitan nih.
*Konsep tak cluttered. Simple premise and storyline with layers untuk cantikkan storyline yang agak bagus.
*Tiada styling feeling drama swasta yang tidak perlu. Maksud nya takder ler cam terbitan telemovie yang gadis kampung tapi make-up empat ini, tampar jerebu, nak touch up balik melambung harga tepung. I noticed in most parts, make-up was good, as were the costuming. Takder ler over.
*Kesinambungan ada...walaupun the story is chopped up with scene mostly randomised (sapa minat konsep cita cam Saw familiar ler ngan konsep ni)
*Pas kuar panggung, tetap rasa nak berdebat pasal apa yang berlaku and what each scene meant, and you will have fun piecing the storyline together. Kira misteri ler nih nak solvekan.
*Kejutan memang menjadi...banyak part gak aku melompat..though not all I agreed as sesuai. Yang main thing, terkejut ler aku...sikit sikit.
*Aksi-aksi yang ngeri yang simple menjadi seperti free falling dalam scene mana Rosyam jatuh dari tingkat tujuh. Yang bab keta Muslim dirempuh lori pun not too bad too, tapi kalao ko jenis peminat Final Destination, ko menguap ler. Still it's quite good no matter what.
What's sucky about Syaitan? 10 sebab anda MUNGKIN akan rasa menyesal menonton Syaitan. *Jalan cerita kekadang mengusutkan fikiran, and at times appears too pseudo intellectual, trying too hard at times nak mysterious, tapi tak jadi. Bagus orang berfikir, tapi kekadang menghampakan sebab dalam terlampau berfikir, you don't understand the story fast enough nak pick up jalan cita dan tak dapat hayati. It's also a little undecided whether it want's to be a supernatural horror or suspense thriller movie at the start.
*Abuse of (terlalu banyak penggunaan) elements and triggers of kejutan. Yerlah...cam sound effect tetiba, scene kelibat...benda atau orang lalu...too much. Terlalu cuba nak menakutkan. Once too often orang (bukan aku ek...ehem) kerana menjerit melatah terkejut for no reason pun), Not mention some of the devices used to create shock, a little too cliched for a horror movie.
*Lakonan Rosyan ok...walaupun dalam first 15 minutes geram tengok dia, ala ala Jalaludin Hassan lak gayanya nak feeling drama TV cara cakapnya. Tapi Lis Dawati nih memeningkan sebab almost throughout the whole movie dia cam tak betui je...ting tong. In fact, instead of making her the usual suspect, they could have cloaked it in more mystery bagik orang rasa simpati ngan dia sebab terpaksa kawen Rosyam. Ni aku kesian Rosyam lak sebab kawin betina tak betui cakap lak cam Fasha Sandha punya gaya. Cam mabuk je kalau ikutkan...
;*The movie jalan slow sangat! Developement lembab!!! Aku ada part sampai nak tertidur akibat jalan cita yang ada bahagian nya cam snail's pace.
*Stunts yang diwar-warkan Lis Dawati wat sendiri tak gempak pun! Dari permulaan cita aku usha je swimming pool, ingat dia akan wat aksi stunt dalam kolam renang lagik (aku carut kerana kena hasutan Syaitan..jangan salahkan aku). Instead, scene nak masuk end of the movie kena langgar keta je. Tension aku tengok...malah tergelak pun ada sebab nampak sangat keta tuh jalam slow nak mampos (walaupun slow motion), and the Lis Dawati lak nampak sangat bukan akibat kena langgar dia thrown up on the car, tapi seolah dia bergolek dari depan sampai belakang keta....keji tau!!! Teringat video clip Feminin yang Kini (konon camera pusing keliling tapi rupanya meka ngan keji 'manually' pusing ngan step) Dahler satu je scene..tapi cakap wat stunt sendiri beriya...
*Ada characters yang tuk aku tidak perlu. Cam Doktor Helmi lakonan Azri Iskandar. I don't see the need for his character langsung. While other characters are so underdeveloped.
*Casting ada yang tak kena. Zul Huzaimy sebagai Adam ok... tapi aku rasa lakonan dia underutilised. Si Kushairy as Mahmud bosan because he didn't bring anything to the character. Lis Dawati memang tak sesuai role dia as Dalila kecuali layak cantik je ler....Ellie dan Que punya watak as Fatimah dan Saad lak underdeveloped.
*Overdramatization of characters. Kira overacting tul some scenes. Bab yang sebelum Lis Dawati kena langgar tuh nak tunggu berejam looking at each other tuh kenapa....waste of time and film je.
*I'm still wondering camna Saad leh usha si Mahmud. What was he doing kat hospital ek ketika dia approach Mahmud nak kenai tuh? Takkan kebetulan sangat kot?
*Penggunaan elemen tidak kena. Dari poster aku ingat filem seram, sebab sampai font pun pakai ala Sanskrit. Apa kena mengena? Cam menipu lak padahal psycho thriller gituh.
Fakta menarik mengenai Syaitan *Syaitan cost RM1.4 million. Majoriti pada bukan pada quantity of the stunts but the quality. I'm still impressed with the freefall scene. Scene keta remuk kena langgar lori...scene ketika Muslim diserang dalam rumah dan barang barang tajaan SSF di pecah kan...nampak ler real gak. Worth the money ler...daripada Puteri Gunung Ledang...tak berbaloi. Proven that good movies don't need to cost that much (and I don't care for the period piece costs more excuse)
*Scene dalam rumah tuh, semuanya set dalam studio ok...bukan kat apartment yang ditunjukkan. Shot dari luar semua lokasi, yang selebihnya dalam rumah semua adalah set yang dibina Kelas ka?
*Tiada lembaga bertudung merah dalam filem ni untuk memaparkan watak yang seram (gelak sorang) Ada Lis Dawati pakai telekung lah...
Berbaloi ke tengok Syaitan nih? Yes. And it's a convincing yes. Aku bagik tiga setengah bintang (tolak setengah bintang kerana Lis Dawati yang banyak mengundang kekejian dari aku) Kecuali kalau ko tak suka berfikir ketika menonton wayang, sebab dia berunsur heavy drama gak dalam suspenseful nature nya. But for RM10 nak tengok kat panggung, untung ler gak. And kira ni filem yang tak malu ler nak ngaku produk Malaysia walaupun ada sikit kelemahan sana sini sikit. Not too much hype, and yet exceeds expectations for Malaysian thriller movies. Sokong ler ngan tengok kat panggung dan jangan ler kayakan penjual VCD/DVD haram anda jer ek. Pada mereka yang da tonton Syaitan dan nak jawapan pada beberapa perkara yang menjadi kekeliruan utama, dibawah aku ada list kan tafsiran beberapa confusing scenes. Pada meka yang nak nonton tapi tanak terasa bangang sebab tak paham, this is a good guide not to get lost in the thickness of the developement of the story.
POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING!!! JANGAN BACA DARI SINI SAMPAI TAHAP YANG DI NYATAKAN DENGAN BOLD DAN MERAH SECARA JELAS DI BAWAH UNTUK TIDAK MENGETAHUI JALAN CERITA FILEM INI YANG MUNGKIN MENGANGGU KESERONOKAN MENONTON ANDA. Walaupun ni melibatkan key scenes and aid for you guys nak paham what goes on, ini juga adalah antara bakal spoiler. This scene is a device actually, sebab antara babak terakhir menunjukkan si Muslim keluarkan pic tuh dan letak kat bedside table kat hospital, sambil lafaz cerai talak tiga kat Dalila. Kalau tak paham, dia sebenarnya nak penonton nyoal kot...ke mana ilang pic tuh, dan kenapa ilang, and camna si Muslim leh dapat balik (lihat b) untuk jawapan.
b) Apa dalam sampul yang diberi oleh Jamilah, si bini Mahmud yang cuba membunuh Muslim ketika dia pergi menerangkan keadaan pada si Muslim?Bagaiman Mahmud leh cari dia? The only conclusion is, selepas Jamilah terangkan kat si Muslim yang Mahmud baik dan tak penah bunuh semut sekali pun (exagerration semata mata nak drama kan explaination aku), dan dia explain kat Muslim Mahmud sebenarnya diupah untuk membunuh Muslim, dia memberi kan bukti dalam sampul. So apa dalam sampul tuh? My guess is passport picture si Muslim, yang di amik oleh Dalili awal-awal sebelum Muslim sedar untuk dipassingkan kat Saad. Saad lak in turn telah memberikan benda tuh kat Mahmud, sebagai cara nak kenalpasti rupa si Muslim. Spekulasi je ler.. but that is most logical if you ask me.
c) Kenapa si Dalila ni keja dia membancuh air je? Sikit sikit gedik-gedik, "Abang nak air?"..."Abang nak minum?",,,"Ala...saya belum sempat buat air untuk abang". So challenging for an actress of Lis Dawati's calibre... Ceritanya yang si Saad dalam satu scene kan ada tunjuk yang dia mintak bubuh benda dalam minuman Muslim? So konon nak tunjuk ler kekerapan kalau diingat balik episod episod dok sibuk nak bancuh air ler...as a result...tuh yang si Muslim nih kuat halusinasi konon ler.</P>
d) Siapa wanita ngan anak in the last scene yang jadik bini si Muslim bila dia tuh da dok ceraikan Dalila yang cantik tapi ala ala ting tong? My guess, yang di iyakan oleh produksi...Fatimah dan anaknya Aman tulah bini pertama si Muslim. Spekulasi mula mula...tapi confirm da...so fact ler...is that si Dalila sebab sayang sangat family, walaupun bantah ketika di lamar oleh Muslim, dalam turut kata ayah dia (ada ditunjuk ketika flashback), memberontak because Muslim sudahpun berkahwin ngan ada anak. In other words, memang even central character si Muslim ni takder ler baik sangat pun...gatal ngan pompuan cantik. Nak kawen terus. Tu yang meka pindah rumah baru tuh... Untuk yakinkan anda, Saad dalam satu scene (yang aku tafsirkan sebagai imaginasi atau khalan Muslim, ada Saad sebut kat Muslim, "Siapa keluarga ko?" pastu ada menoleh kat Dalila sambil kata, "Dia milik aku" sebab al-kisahnya, memang Saad lover Dalila yang di celah bedah oleh si Muslim.
e) Apa scene yang tetiba semua go haywire, tetiba sampai Muslim jatuh bangunan and then accident lak...? Banyak kekeliruan timbul dari scene ni....but what I gather is, kalau korang perasan about that time, scene tuh, everything tiba tiba jadik kaler merah light light. Spekulasi aku, accident pastuh kan dia masuk koma or something like that. Well, walaupun scenes not in order, actually si Muslim ni khayal ketika dalam koma. Call it his guilty conscience illustrating the scenes. Kalau tak pun, akibat halusinasi campur perasaan bersalah dia naikkan such halucinations. Whatever it is...memang guilt dia hanuts him sebab pas dia jatuh dan mampos, dia nampak Fatimah dan anak dia (tapi pelik dalam mati mata terbeliak pun nampak ek)
These five key pertanyaan ler akan main kat pala korang ketika nonton Syaitan...ada beberapa scene timbulkan tanda tanya, tapi aku tak ingat sangat. And ada yang tak terjawab...seperti penting ke TV no signal pastuh esok lusa nya ada? Takkan mystery person tu nak watkan??? Let me watch it again...kena tengok balik kaji ler. Would I see it again? Maybe...for the sake of studying the key elements and devices yang actually quite pandai yang ditanam throughout the movie oleh Bade. Cuma sayang, these details tenggelam ngan over-dramatisation of the scenes yang aku rasa memurahkan movie nih.</P>
Why Syaitan? Nama filem itu dipilih untuk menonjolkan unsur yang tak banyak diketengahkan. Menurut Bade, selalu orang wat filem hantu dan sebagainya...kira ada unsur unsur tahyul. Tapi his movie nih deals with a real issue, which is hasutan syaitan. Katanya dalam Al-Quran takde pun sebut pasai hantu dan sebagainya, tapi ada reference pada syaitan....dan dia nak highlightkan how real that horror is. Itu sebab sampai watak Que Haidar, iaitu Saad yang berupa alim dan berkopiah pun leh teruji keimanannya. Kira setiap orang terbuka pada hasutan syaitan. Senarainya seperti demikian (uwaa...siap list kan nih...)
Muslim : kena hasut nak tinggal kan bini pertama dan anaknya kerana gatal bijik sangat nak kawin ngan pompuan lebih muda dan cun melecun. Dalila : Di hasut untuk mengikuti perancangan evil Saad tuh sebab hati memberontak nak sangat gatal bijik ngan Saad, tapi terpaksa kahwin ngan Muslim akibat ketaatannya pada kehendak keluarga. Saad : Terhasut syaitan selepas kecewa nak gatai bijik ngan Dalila tapi dikebas Muslim. Kushairy : Sebab sayangkan keluarga (dan sedap kot gatai bijik ngan bini) sanggup wat apa saja demi anak nya yang sakit jantung berlubang (yang terhasil akibat gatai bijik gak) dan perlukan rawatan mahal. Adam : Security yang sanggup jaga anaknya sebab sayangkan walaupun susah terima kenyataan anaknya (hasil gatai bijik gak) insan intimewa. Terhasut untuk mendera anaknya...aku rasa akibat gersang dan gatai bijik kot. Sexual frustration is so underrated. Jamilah : Bini Mahmud ni takde ler terhasut apa...tapi sanggup wat per saja kerana nak gatai bijik ngan laki nya. Yerlah...kalau masuk penjara akibat attempted murder nak gatai bijik ngan sapa?? Hari ni D-day. Yerlah...okini lah ceritanya kenapa aku kelam kabut sikit seminggu dua nih. Actually, aku kan skang dalam proses nak register my consultancy company. Selain PR dan publicity (dah pun dapat project tapi masa lak kureng nak abihkan proposal aku yang da tertangguh), aku gak banyak focus pada image consultancy. This means, aku head to toe wat styling seseorang sampai tahap kalao nak bercakap pun leh ajar. But tuk Anugerah Bintang Popular kali nih kira my maiden effort nak all out. Sebelun ni, aku penah wat styling beberapa artis, tapi nih ler yang aku tunggu tunggu nak kick off my event. Since it's also the first major event (second ler kalau kira Anugerah Juara Lagu, but this is the main thing la sebab ramai agik artis yang hadir) But kali nih aku coordinate styling aku nih besar besaran. So ari nih aku ada meeting ngan Maestro bersama designer designer baru yang berbakat in Wanie (yes, yang arituh aku gi jalan jalan carik fabrik yang sesuai bersama with on Saturday) as well as Nizam dan Zura. Meeting tu untuk tentukan samaada kami jadik ke tak untuk provide wardrobe bagik artis Maestro yang kami minta. And yes, we got the green light with the beautiful designs for the three artistes. Meanwhile, another designer Rizman pun dapat green light from another artiste yang simultaneously, they had a meeting kat Palace of the Golden Horses. Aku kena temankan tiga orang nih because Rizman punya aku da awal-awal deal kat phone so aku tak anticipate any problems. Later in the evening, Hatta kata dia jadik wat one more artiste. So it's a great day for my consultancy effort sebab ini full list artist yang akan pakai designs dari pereka pereka fesyen baru yang bekerjasama ngan aku. Syabas to these fabulous designers who I'm working with yang akan mereka pakaian artis artis tersenarai bagi Anugerah Bintang Popular. We're halfway there, guys! Hatta Dolmat (Ning, Nikki, Yanie, Erra Fazira) Hazwani Oswan (Mawi, Diddy), Rizwan Ruzaini (Dayang Nurfaizah, Betty Banafe), Zura (Zahid, ZZ) dan Nizam (Felix, Rosyam Nor). That's bragging rights for you, kids. That's 11 artistes in total yang team kami bekerjasama untuk usahakan yang dah pun CONFIRM! Lum agik ada yang lum ditentukan...but basically I'm happy because we got ALL the big names kecuali Siti Nurhaliza yang...God willing...next round kang kami dapat. Bangga ler... Kira nih ler batu locatan bukan saja bagik pereka pereka fesyen muda ni semua, tapi jugak untuk aku. Berbaloi ler kepercayaan aku terhadap meka. I couldn't have done it without their fabulous ideas too...so tahniah pada mereka semua. Skang mai kita postpone celebrations to make sure the look is great on the red carpet as well as on the stage kang. Masa meeting, Aman dan juga Mawi himself ada tuk approve Wanie's designs. Pas ok...kami pun amik ler measurement semua. Wanie nih peminat besar (matilah aku pecah lobang dia) Mawi...so bangga lerdia dapat sapu bersih wat outfit Mawi tuk red carpet as well as persembahan kat Anugerah Bintang Popular kang...but not as proud as kakak dia yang memang fanatic Mawi. Merasalah baju yang disponsored semua kang akan di letak pada mannequin, di lindungi kotak kaca dan diperaga kat rumah kat kampung di Teluk Intan katanya. Felix datang lambat sikit untuk fitting, manakala Zahid lak tak dapat hadir sebab ada family emergency (ada apa ek???)
Perbincangan Maestro ngan Mawi bersama our team of designers. Lepas setuju, Wanie pun mengambil ukuran Mawi. Malu Mawi terus tau...hah...sapa mintak tak jaga berat bada. Kan da naik 67kg. Kalau nak tau pinggang Mawi skang 34 inci!!! Pakai seluar lak bawah perut...skang kena tarik nak cover bila seluar lak slip below the waistline. Felix pun trauma sikit berbincang ngan Nizam pasai baju dia...seperti Mawi...perut dia pun naik. Love handles club kedua mereka nih.
After kita da lebih kurang siap tuh, manager meletop ni singgah ngan artiste dia tuk menghadiahkan aku usaha terbaru syarikat f-tersix, iaitu kalendar 2007 yang menampilkan pose pose istimew Diddy (promosi tak berbayar ek). Yeah...everyone seems to be doing their own thing quite well. 2007 must be the year for business. Aku jarang dapat keluar siang, especially on a Saturday. Mana lah aku nak bangun awal-awal. Tapi malam sebelum sebab dah planning ngan Wanie nak dapatkan baang barang keperluan dia tuk nak persiapkan design baju dia (untuk sapa nanti aku cita), nekad kul 9 pagik nak bangun. Sayang aku jadik driver for the day, sebab da agak akan koma tak cukup tidur malam semalam, so awal-awal da pujuk dia drive kami. Dapat ler aku merasa jadik penumpang sekali sekalakan? Not like it happens that much as I prefer to ferry myself around. I woke up to the sounds of knocking on the door. Aiyak...overslept katanya. Damn Xanax still works on me apparently....rupanya sayang aku call aku tak angkat so dia gegas ngan Wanie mai jemput aku kat rumah terus. Uwaa...dapat ler berangan di chauffered gituh (sori yang). We hit some textile outlets for fabric samples, none of them too successfully. First stop kami actually area Kotaraya, so parking ler kat area basement bawah tuh. Keji tau...nama je nak promoi Visit Malaysia Year...ni masa nak naik lift, this confusing show of direction was enough to boggle the mind. Terbayang lif buka and tanya orang, "Going up?" before the person breaks out in song..."To the left...to the left" (lawak keji dan bangap). One thing I did learn was, masa gi ke Jalan Masjid India lak pastuh was the entreprenuring ways of many people. Check out this pictures for yourself. Masa si Wanie tengah beli bulu burung merak, aku pun wander around one of these shops. I spotted these bottles on the counter yang aku mula-mula ingat mineral water. Yerlah...base botol sama je. Looking up though, aiyak...ada badan dewi lak tersambung kat atas. Is this some deity endorsed mineral water? The sign says it's Ganga Holy Water. Cool!!! Very the creative bottling dia. Terbayang kang Mawi lak wat mineral water ngan botol camtuh...jangan kena saman sejuta Ringgit lagik pastuh dah ler ek. One strange thing was this sign I spotted in the same shop. Erm...just what are Japan Sarees? Aku bab bab tuh don't know the difference, tapi dalam nak tanya, tak kuasa lak ngan orang kedai yang muka sentap bijik sebab si Wanie da laser melaser ngan dia. Al kisahnya nak beli bulu burung merak tuh takleh pilih, kena amik seikat tuh. Masaalahnya, da banyak bulu tuh hancur, bahagian mata bulu tuh da barai da. Keji!!!! Matilah ko nak wat duit pun niaga cam sial jerk. Anyway, anyone can tell me what the heck are Japan Sarees??? And how do they defer from Indian sarees or regular sarees? Jalan punya jalan....it started to get dark. We hit SSF and were supposed to follow up ngan Kamdar, tapi pas the first stop tuh kat SSF (quite affordable items tapi aku rasa overrated sangat), decided to call it quits sebab da tak larat nak jalan lagik. Ujan yang turun lebat tetiba da show signs of letting up, so decided to make a run for it qwhile we could. Biasalah KL nih kalau ujan je...walaupun setitik jam cam #$%^&. Aku tidur sepanjang perjalanan balik, kesian lak sayang aku bak keta sorang-sorang....but that's what makes dia nih so enduring. Takut kacau aku sepanjang perjalanan, dia biarkan aku koma tidur je sehingga aku tersedar bila nak sampai rumah. Aku memang throbbing abih pala... Sampai rumah jer koma. Sounds like I didn't do much, but walking around can be extremely tiring.. Apapun...at least got some stuff out of the way. Didn't do anything later that night as well. So aku pun caught some zzz's and made up for beberapa malam tak cukup tidur. At least tomorrow's Sunday and I can afford to sleep... walaupun I could do some kerja yang tertangguh...but I think I owe it to myself to catch up on sleep. I hate procrastinating because I tend to get really good at it...but hey...sometimes I suppose it's necessary...especially when you can keel over and pitam kalao tak cukup tidur. So this is a good excuse...I mean exception.
It's no rare thing yang ari Jumaat selalu relax bagik aku. Usually by the end of the week, hari terakhir, work grinds to a halt. Seminggu dua ni memang sibuk gila ngan banyak kerja dan projek yang dijalankan, so tonight has been awesome as I get to unwind at a company event yang membolehkan aku walk about with a ciggy in hand and a bottle of...erm...Coke... or something in a green bottle in the other. The event was the company's year-ender celebration... an excuse ler basically nak party, and also to make the advertsers happy so they'll plonk more money for this year's accounts. Aku takder tugas khas apart from just generally mingling and amusing people...so senang ler. Oh my...kekadang susah nak percaya I'm getting paid for this...but there you go. We had a little awards thing on the side just for the fun of it, and Nikki won Best Breakthrough Artiste. Other notable mentions, si Joey G dapat Hottest Male Artiste while Sharifah Amani got the female award for that (you are hot indeed, babe!) Nikki hadir tuk wat show, along with Yanie and Diddy yang juga perform. I was amusing myself ore than anything else, and indulging in idle gossip here and there, so takder ler take note of the event's proceedings as well, tapi by the end of it, da gossip ngan orang ni (yang tak kenal sapa tuh Tony Eusoff)-wat male jer aku introduce) dan juga orang ni (yang tukang carut dia sebab tak kenal Tony). Nani was also chatty that night, and sekali ngan Que Haidar, Awal...simple night but kind of fun nonetheless. Lama da tak unwind on Friday night like this.

By the end of it, it was 'back to work' sebab diajak tokei diamond tuk join in the meeting nak tengokkan design Jovian Mandagie tuk baju Ning dan Nikki untuk red carpet di Anugerah Bintang Popular nanti. Before this kan da kata kan...yang Hatta akan wat baju persembahan tuk Ning dan Nikki masa time performance apart from Yanie's frock, so yes, this is the second pair of outfits for two of the divas so that tak pecah lobang dan kurang surprise ketika naik pentas wat pening show kang. Pening...esok lak nak santai rileks...entah dapat ker tak peluang tuh.
Music is beautiful, no matter what language it is in. It transcends the boundaries of race, religion, and even that of a geographical nature. Support Malaysian music. Don't kill it by being ignorant. Music is ever evolving, and our local sound is slowing being rendered irrelevant. This is my protest against those who choose to be anti-Indonesian music, simply because SOME of our local talents and recording outfits are too lazy to innovate and create. This is the sound of Indonesia today. Are we up for the challenge to evolve and produce better music in healthy competition?

It's as simple as that...but then again, perhaps not.
My life is kinda like my job, an oxymoron. Try this one out for size...'ethical journalist'. See, told you so.
Anyway, here's a brief (yeah right!) intro to my life.
I'm a proud Malaysian (and I mean literally!), of Chinese descent. I'm Christian (Roman Catholic!).
I'm kinda whacked. I believe in piercings, dyed hair, black nails, silver studs. leather and spiked accessories and oh... tattoos...body art is just that...art. Apart from anything else that will make me worth staring at.
Right now, I have a total of seven piercings (three on lobes - two left one right, left ear cartilage, nose, lower lip and tongue) with three taken out on brow (one ripped) as well as three tattoos with more to come.
Forget the tough exterior, cause I believe in hugging my parents, crying when I feel like it, require tender moments with my significant other, and I appreciate my friends. As Kim from America's Next Top Model said it best. "What's my secret? I may look tough on the outside, but really, I scream like a girl!"

I 32 as of last July 17, and it's past the mid life crisis come early for me as I struggled to deal with the coming of age thing. I am working as a freelance senior entertainment journalist, a job which I have been at ever since I decided to quit college, two subjects short of graduating. I was taking my Diploma In Sound and Audio Engineering. Until recently that is.
Now I do a lot of freelance overall talent consultancy which includes image and communication. I am also in the process of starting my own company klubbkidd Sdn Bhd, which is producing its first TV show from a format that I have created myself. The show will most likely be on air sometime end 2008.
I have donelive sound production for some concerts and shows and a little bit of studio work in hopes of becoming a sound engineer with what I've studies, when I turned back to my first love, writing.
Was doing general news, specialized awhile in politics, did a little features, crime, business and sports and dabbled in related journalism fields before finally settling into my current position, thankfully, entertainment, the perks of which is doing what I've always loved (writing and indulging in music) and also backstage passes to meet my favorite acts. It's eleven years now, and I'm still golding it there.
Looking back - whatever's gone on in my life - it's not too hard to be positive and look ahead, with more pleasant of the memories to make the journey a little easier.
And these very memories which I cherish so, are the reasons behind why I started blogging.
The friendships and variety of relationships I've been through, allow me to highlight the mistakes I've made and how not to repeat them, not to compromise my principles too much for love, and also a balance in sacrificing my ego, and how I must learn to be stronger in the face of adversity.
So I've never figured myself to be a real hoot.I pace on day by day, occasionally skipping, sometimes with just a little jaunty bounce. More often than not, I go smack! either on my rear end (which needs more meat) or flat on my face.Life treats me well, I suppose, so I shouldn't gripe. I am stll my own hero - that's positivity through self-affirmation for you.

Bloody hell...turns out everywhere is a reserved zone. Finally dapat ler good spot yang accessible, tapi akibat membuang masa mencari tempat, the rain was pouring by the time I attempted to get out of the stupid parking lot to get into the stadium.
Bukan aku je ok...ada ler rakan-rakan artis yang feeling patut jalan red carpet, tapi akibatnya tak kuasa sebab drenched ok. Seriously...dah ler parking lot entah reserve bagik atuk sapa, 
Kalau Caramu dapat pun, at least performance lebih menghiburkan. That's a fact. Kalau tak pun RuffEdge punya Da Bomb. Sebab pertunjukan pentas semua tak besh sangat. Dua tiga kerat jer yang leh enjoy...lain tuh cam cukup tangkap muat.

Seaking of which, masa melantak ngan sayang aku kat Seksyen 7 Shah Alam, kat Ulek Mayang, sempat tengok one episode of the Raja Lawak punya daily diary or whatever they call it.
But the first person I bumped into was Bob, yang rushing sebab dia nak ciao ke rehearsal Anugerah Juara Lagu. Mak aih!!! 
Tengah interview sana sini, nampak ler bebudak Lips. Hah...ada pun. Apa agik...feeling terjah ler si Oshin nak tanya tul ker dia yang kena terjah Melodi. Jawapannya...of course not ler.
This is my actual plea to all bloggers top take note. A movement called

Aku nak wat this 'little' ulasan pun berapa lama...half of which, was done in Starbucks Mid Valley Megamall over a Cafe Mocha with whipped cream and several Marlboros, sambil menjalankan beberapa phone interviews untuk my work.
Terbayang lif buka and tanya orang, "Going up?" before the person breaks out in song..."To the left...to the left" (lawak keji dan bangap).
I spotted these bottles on the counter yang aku mula-mula ingat mineral water. Yerlah...base botol sama je.
Anyway, anyone can tell me what the heck are Japan Sarees??? And how do they defer from Indian sarees or regular sarees?
